Roman type, of course, the "social-contents" gelenidir leading literary genres. XIX century gradually gained currency as such, Sthendhal, Balzac, Dickens, Dostoevsky, Zola novelists such a strong hand "society" has begun to reflect the multi-faceted. Therefore, the novel genre, the literary function of a particular society in a given period, as well as the "social structure", "structural distortions", "relations of production" individuals "lifestyles" providing information about the artifacts are considered. In this context, many novel was written, the era of social "document" s, novelist, also, consciously or unconsciously, the era of manners "tanıklarıdır.1

Roman türü, kuşkusuz "toplumsal muhtevalı" edebi türlerin önde gelenidir. XIX, yüzyıldan itibaren giderek güncellik kazanan bu tür, Sthendhal, Balzac, Dickens, Dostoyevski, Zola gibi güçlü romancıların elinde "toplum"u çok yönlü olarak yansıtmaya başlamıştır. Bu nedenle, roman türü, edebi işlevinin yanı sıra belirli bir dönemde belirli bir toplumun "toplumsal yapısı", "yapısal çarpıklıkları", "üretim ilişkileri", bireylerin "yaşam tarzları" hakkında da bilgi verebilen eserler olarak kabul edilir.
