İn purine pathvvay, adenosine deaminase is a cytoplasmic enzyme which changes adenosine into inosine and ammo-mum, deoxyadenosine into deoxyinosİne and ammonium cataiyzed irreversıbly. Activation of ADA ın human fluids is by two enzymes: ADAI and ADA2. IncreasedADA levels in tuberculosis pleural effusion have 9681-100 sensivity and ■ro83-100 specı vıty. ADA ın tuberculosis effusıons orıgınated from macrophages and monosit is mainly ADA2. ADA level also can be ıncreased ın ampiyem, lenfoproliteratif disorders and parapnömonic pleural effusions which have lymphocyte celi mostly

Adenozin deaminaz (ADAJ; purin yıkım yolunda bulunan adenosini inosin ve amonyağa, deoxyadenosin'i deoxyino-sıne ve amonyağa dönüşümünü irreversibl katalizleyen sıtoplazmik bir enzimdir. İnsan biyolojik sıvılanndaki ADA aktıvitesi farklı başlıca iki izoenzimden kaynaklanır. Bunlar ADA I ve ADA2 şeklinde isimlendirilir. Tüberküloz plorezilerde sıvı ADA seviyesi artışı %8\-İ00 sensitMte ve %83-100'lük bir spesifisite gösterir. Tüberküloz effüzyoniarında ADA'nın başlıca kaynağı monosit -makrofaj hücrelerde sentezlenen ADA2'dir. Lenfosirden zengin plevra sıvı toplanmasına neden olan parapnömonik effüzyonlar, ampiyem ve lenfoproliferatif hastalıklarda da sıvı ADA seviyesi artışı olabilir.
