Intro to QuickBooks 9/12 - 10/10/20

Introduction to QuickBooks/Bookkeeping 2016 is a course that covers the fundamentals with newcomers in mind.  QuickBooks/Bookkeeping is a whole new way of thinking about finances.  Specifically, this class addresses accounting equations, debits and credits, how to prepare and interpret important financial reports using QuickBooks software.  It also covers, accounting structure, journals, ledgers, bookkeeping terminology, revenue, expenses, debits and credits.  Students will learn how to create financial statements, as well as a variety of reports designed to help grow business.  After completing this course,  a student will have a solid understanding of the QuickBooks 2016 software and accounting basics.  Students will learn how to set up a new company, manage inventory, create customized invoices, setup payroll, make journal entries, reconcile accounts and manage sales taxes.  By applying the concepts learned in this course, you will understand the bookkeeping process and how to use the QuickBooks software to streamline the workflow.  Learn QuickBooks and bookkeeping now and achieve a skill that is an invaluable asset to your professional career development.

September 12 - QuickBooks Desktop:  For Beginners:  Vendor Center and Customer Center

Establish a quality chart of accounts, and items list.  Learn how to use the Vendor Center including entering bills, writing checks, giving credits.  Learn how to use the Customer Center including sales receipts, payments, deposits, credit memos and customer statements.

September 19 - QuickBooks Desktop: For Beginners: Billable Expenses and Inventory Center

Learn how to use billable time and expenses.  Learn how to use the inventory center including purchase order, receiving inventory, and adjusting inventory. 

September 26 - QuickBooks Desktop: Customizing QuickBooks, Modifying Templates, and Using and Creating Financial Reports.

Learn how to customize your desktop, item list, and modify templates.

Learn how to create, modify, and memorize Financial Reports including exporting to Excel.  Also create memorized report groups and use of the income tracker, bill tracker, and how to find transactions.

October 3 - QuickBooks Desktop: Setting up a new company.

Setting up a new company with preliminary balances and creating passwords for administrator and users.

October 10 - QuickBooks Desktop: Setting up a new company (cont.)

Jennifer Mastrangelo has had diverse experience for the past 20 years in teaching Accounting and Computer Courses at various Colleges and Continuing Education Programs. Before that she worked in multiple capacities in the Business Sector. She has a Masters of Education Degree in Instruction and Curriculum from Lesley College in Cambridge, MA, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an Accounting Concentration.
