I know! I can't believe we have either! I'd like to think that we will make it!
With the strikes happening, will they be able to do the con? Idk how that stuff works... __________________

i'm honestly not sure! i was googling it to see ... it seems like maybe not? i feel like since their contracts are ended with disney (i assume, since the show is over) then maybe it's fine?
i know that signing autographs is considered totally fine, so i'm assuming that meet & greets are fine too. it seems like maybe panels are fine as long as the actors don't talk about their characters? it sounds like those details are still being hammered out, from what i'm reading. perhaps it also might depend on if the actor HAS to attend "x" number of conventions per their contract. tbh imo i don't think it is fair to ask actors to not show up to conventions. i know in the horror movie/film world, many, MANY actors are able to supplement their income with conventions (sometimes it's as good as having a second job, so it's that important; that's why you usually see "lesser known" but popular within their niche actors constantly doing conventions). and those actors are paid to be there by the convention + fans, so if they can't show up, not only do they lose income, but now the convention + fans + hotels + etc will all lose income. i am all for being disruptive to STUDIOS, but this doesn't really impact them at all, so idk. maybe at most some studios would lose out by having less promotion, but lbr i feel like most studios know that these days they can be super lazy with promo and still get viewers. edit: i read this take, fwiw: Quote:

Sorry I wasn't on yesterday, I was super busy all day and then by the time I got home I had a huge migraine
But thank you for all the info, I appreciate it! So the odds aren't good for us? They wouldn't be able to talk about the show I mean it would still be amazing to hear them just talk and hang out, but we want some Raylla stuff too Also I agree, it really is unfair to ask the actors, especially smaller named actors to not participate in cons and stuff. Especially now when none of them can work. __________________

no worries, bb. sorry about the migraine.
i honestly don't know. i mean, m:fs isn't streaming anywhere (thanks disney ) and there's really nothing left to contractually promote for it. it seems like ONLY when you have to CONTRACTUALLY promote a show that it's NOT allowed by the union strike. but i'm not 100% sure. it makes sense though. and yes, i agree |

Thank you! It went away when I went to sleep, thankfully
I guess we will have to wait and see. And if there is a good thing coming from the strike, at least we know that taylor or amalia won't be filming anything during the con so should be able to go __________________

good, glad to hear it.
and yes, that is a good thing, i guess. did you see (before the strike) that amalia posted about some swedish project she was in that will be on netflix next year? i'll definitely be watching. and i'm curious to see what taylor is filming, too. i hope at least one of them plays a wlw again. |

I did see that! Is it the same premise/idea of that Florence Pugh movie? That's what it sounds like to me, but I have no clue I will definitely be checking it out! I'll hopefully be checking taylors work too. It would be so huge if either of them played a wlw character again They both seem to love doing it.

i mean, it takes place during midsummer, but it's a family drama versus a horror film
i'll definitely be watching both of them when their new stuff comes out. they both played wlw characters before m:fs, so they do it again they know how loyal sapphic fans are |
