Dear Friends and Family

We are honored to continue raising money through Extra-Life in Steve’s memory (pictured 2nd from right in above photo) for child life services at CHoP.  Steve learned of this charity from friend and teammate Dan during his illness.  Steve walked door-to-door with his dog Penny asking friends and neighbors for donations.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated, even as small as $5, and goes to a great cause (and tax deductible).  Feel free to pass along the information to anyone who might be interested in helping.

Why do I participate in Extra-Life?

Below are Steve’s own words as to why he got involved in Extra-Life.  Sadly, Steve past away December 24, 2016 after a long battle we all thought he had won.   We are so very proud of Steve for his positive attitude and hard work to raise money to help other people.

As many of you know I've had my battles with AML (Leukemia) and although I've pushed through them it was a long physically and mentally tough road.  Often times there wasn't much I could do besides watch Netflix or play video games to pass time or use as a distraction.  I ended up playing more video games than ever because my amazing friends purchased me an XBox One System.  During this time my friend Dan asked me to donate to the Extra-Life cause and I couldn't resist, however, I felt like I could do more.  A lot more, so I asked if I could join his team and help.  Playing games was something I could do no matter how weak I was feeling and I knew it could not only help me get motivated and excited about something but to also help local kids facing the same or worse situations then I found myself.

I'm on a mission to save kids and I need your help. My local Children's Miracle Network Hospital treats thousands of children each year, regardless of their family's ability to pay. These kids are facing scary stuff like cancer, cystic fibrosis, and injuries from accidents to name just a few.

Your donation is tax-deductible and ALL PROCEEDS go to help kids.

Those of you that have donated are amazing and I appreciate all of your help and how you have reached out to me.
