The Jo Cox Way 2021 - Day 3 - Market Bosworth to Milton Keynes

Today the Jo Cox Way navigates along relaxing routes from Leicestershire to Buckinghamshire. just 2100ft of total ascent and just slightly more decent. After a very fine breakfast to fuel our 70 miles, we leave Market Bosworth and head south east on peaceful country lanes, passing through Kirkby Mallory, Skim north of Earl Shilton. Just after Ashby Parva we head due east and pick up Sustrans route 50 at Gilmorton and turn south.

The chilled riding continues through Swinford After passing Crick we head south west, pass through Long Buckby and by cycling through Kislingbury, skim west of Northampton. We head south, through Blisworth and Roade, picking up Route 6 at Hartwell.

At Castlethorpe we turn south east, skim ajacent to the mainline railway line and then enter the north of Milton Keyes. We use the cycle paths in the town to navigate clockwise around MK and head to our rest stop at Kent Hill Park Conference Centre.

The Jo Cox Way is a five-day, 280-mile bike ride in memory of Jo Cox MP, returning for its 6th year to celebrate Jo’s life, her beliefs and all the good work that goes on in communities up and down the UK.

Over sixty cyclists will be setting off on Wednesday 28th July in West Yorkshire and riding to London, finishing at the Flat Iron Square, London on Sunday 1st August.

Please come and jump on a bike and pedal alongside us for part of the route and show your support by cheering the cyclists on their way.

The route has been broken into manageable day sections, join in the fun and celebrate group cycling.
