"Shri Gajanan Seva" is a way to offer Seva to Maharaj. With Maharaj’s blessings and the support of hundreds of devotees, the Shri Gajanan Maharaj Murti Pratishthapana and Prakat Din Utsav was celebrated in Feb. 2017. Shri Gajanan Maharaj’s arrival (Murti) in Shiv Durga Temple of Bay Area fulfilled the desires of devotees to have a place to worship. “Shri Gajanan Seva” provides a means to continue this service in a selfless, devotional way all around the year. This platform serves as a medium to connect fellow devotees who want to walk the spiritual path together. It also attempts to get the young generation of children involved in various cultural and charity activities to introduce them to our cultural heritage and help them follow the path of Guru bhakti, community giving & Spirituality.
One can offer Seva in various forms, such as the following:
> Shri Gajanan Maharaj Murti Abhishek: Thursday mornings
> Maha-Aarti: Thursday evenings
> Group Naam Jap Seva: Monthly
> Guru Food Drive: Annually
> Shri Gajanan Maharaj Prakat Din Utsav: One-day
> Shri Gurupournima Utsav: One-day
> Shri Rishipanchami Utsav: One-day
> Food donation to Homeless/Needy people: Year-round
> Kids toy drive during holidays: During Holidays
> Other charitable/social activities: Year-round
