Description:

Join us for a special event hosted by Platt's Paw Protectors, our dedicated Teens Leading Change group, and featuring Stephanie Parke from Actors and Others for Animals and her friend Tigger, a large English Sheepdog puppet. Tigger and his friends will teach kids about responsible pet care and the safest way to approach dogs. The show features a fun sing-along, interactive opportunities, a craft, and games. This event is recommended for ages 4 to 8!

Actors and Others for Animals was founded in 1971 to promote the humane treatment of animals. The Safety with Dogs puppet show is part of their Humane Education program. Some of their other programs include: subsidizing spay/neuter surgeries to help curb the pet overpopulation problem, and a pet assisted therapy program which tests dogs, cats, bunnies, and birds to be pet therapy animals.

This event is generously funded by the Library Foundation of Los Angeles as part of the Teens Leading Change Initiative.
