An Intergenerational Feast of Resistance & OPEN MIC
Although Tết (lunar new year) - a time in which the Vietnamese community celebrates our ancestors who have fought colonialism and imperialism while honoring land and people through food - has just past, VietUnity and QTViet Cafe carry on with the year of resistance by grounding ourselves in food and stories. We’re teaming up with community elders to learn about their favorite Vietnamese recipes and cook you a meal full of love, care, lots of laughter and power to feed your souls. We will also have performances from community members as well as space for OPEN MIC.
Our dinner is sliding scale $7-$17 to fundraise for Bà Triệu School of Consciousness, however, no-one will be turn away.
RSVP for guarantee entrance and all contribution will be accepted at the door. Cash are prefer.
