You fill my heart with your infectious laughter, and that charming, sweet smile. You make me laugh with your terrible jokes, and all of your mispronounced words. You light up my life with your comforting presence, reliably stable and kind. You offered your hand at the times when I needed it most, taught me lessons in true partnership. There's a phrase going around that says we can't expect love equal to what we give, 'cos no one has the same heart we do, but I truly believe I found my equal in you. Never had someone want to know me to the depths of my soul, Never had someone ask me the story of my life and then to empathize... Never felt so respected, treated like my opinion counts, like who I am deserves praise for things I do every day. Why didn't I think I needed more? Never had someone want to take care of me. Never had someone show me what partnership could mean.

My life was stale, mundane, and empty, Until, my love, you came along - A breath of fresh air, you changed my life in ways I'd needed for so long. You've taught me things about the world at large, and even more about myself. I've never known someone who cared so much, and tried so hard to always help. You give me respect I'd never felt before, Show me I am appreciated, You teach me every day what real teamwork is, and I feel so exhilarated. I know, in time, we all have to grow and change, developing new maturity; And despite the foibles that litter my past, you pressed on, determined to "get" me.
