Do you know (what's his name/what his name is)?

I know that we can say:

1) What's his name?
2) Do you know what his name is?

But, is the following permissible in everyday speech, or will native speakers see it as a sign of non-native speakers?

3) Do you know what's his name?

  • I agree with Donny, especially as 'what's-his/her-name', said like one word, is commonly used when one has forgotten the name of somebody.

'Do you know what she's/ he's/ that crazy customer's called?' is also an idiomatic way of asking about somebody's name.
