General Description: Alkali Hot Springs are rustic rock walled tubs in the central desert of Nevada. There is two primitive tubs that are not regularly cleaned. The water runoff collects in an old cemented pool that are remnants of a resort long gone.
A small concrete deck adjacent to the pools makes getting in and out easier. The pools are big enough for three or four people, and are about 3 feet deep. The water temperature varies depending upon the time of year, but averages about 108 degrees F. in one, and 100 degrees F. in the other. The water is a little murky, but still makes a pleasant bath. Primitive, except for the diversion of water into the tub.
