Finally, you’re left with image of Scott Pelley sucking on his eyeglass frames as if he was trying to impersonate a character who might be called The Ole Sage TV Journalist, after neatly disgracing both himself and TV journalism in his puffy chat-up with Andrew McCabe, the ex-Deputy FBI Director who stage-managed the cover-up of the RussiaGate fiasco in both of its phases — first to interfere with the 2016 election on behalf of Hillary Clinton, and then to oust the winner of the election, Mr. Trump.
Perhaps Mr. Pelley was ruminating on all the topics he forgot to ask about, such as what Mr. McCabe meant by an “insurance policy” in his conversations with counter-intel agent Peter Stzrok and DOJ lawyer Lisa Page; or whether Mr. McCabe launched the Russia collusion investigation on the basis of the Steele dossier, which was already known at the time to be material furnished by the Hillary Clinton campaign; or whether the contents of said dossier had ever been verified via established FBI protocol (the “Woods” procedure), which they never were.
The audience was informed at the very end that Mr. McCabe’s case had been “referred” to the federal courts by the DOJ Inspector General. That was a nice way of saying that Mr. McCabe has been singing to a grand jury. If so, then he’s an early bird, because many of his feathered friends will be following him into the grand jury chamber and then we’ll have the great Battle-of-the-Alibis.
Mainly what the McCabe interview accomplished was CBS tripling-down on the empty Russia collusion “narrative” that has nourished the crusade to dump Mr. Trump by any means necessary for more than two years. Mr. McCabe describes the “chaos” in the C-suites of the FBI after the President fired Director James Comey in May 7 of 2017, “because we had lost our leader… it was an unbelievably stressful time,” he said.
Yes, I’m sure. Because so many top officers in the Bureau were desperate to cover their asses since Mrs. Clinton’s unbelievable election loss meant that all the FBI emails and official memoranda documenting their behavior either had to be shoved down the memory hole illegally or left to be discovered by Mr. Trump. Indeed, some of it was illegally destroyed, for instance the government-issued cell phones of Ms. Page and Mr. Stzrok, smashed to bits on Robert Mueller’s instructions.
Apparently, one of the main objectives in the 60-Minutes story was to paint Mr. McCabe as an heroic patriot defending America against the wicked, shape-shifting, all-powerful Russia, which had made Mr. Trump its captive. The 60-Minutes piece happens to coincide exactly with the release of Mr. McCabe’s ass-covering book: The Threat: How the FBI Protects America in the Age of Terror and Trump. (Real superheroes fight both.)
It also sets up a nice contrapuntal battle between the enigmatic Rod Rosenstein and Mr. McCabe vis-à-vis the idea of “wearing a wire” to record the President en route to running him over with the 25th Amendment. According to Mr. McCabe, there was a lot of lively discussion around this plan. Mr. Rosenstein has brushed it off as a gag. Mr. McCabe, apparently, thought it was dead serious. They never did get their stories straight. In the meantime, Mr. McCabe’s own colleagues in the FBI’s ethics office and its Inspector General charged him with lying repeatedly about his role in this matter.
You had to wonder whether the attempt by CBS-News to sell “the sterling career” story of Andrew McCabe (as Mr. Pelley put it), is really just a way for the network to cover its own ass in acting as a propaganda patsy in the long-running RussiaGate affair. The 60-Minutes segment also coincided with William Barr’s confirmation last week by the senate as the Attorney General, as well as official reports issued by both house and senate committees stating that they found no evidence for the Trump / Russia collusion story. The ground is shifting under all this seditious hugger-mugger.
Whether you are a Trump cheerleader or not (I’m not), there is a reality-based chain of events behind the FBI’s actions from early 2016 on — and the actions of other official players in government — that can only be clarified now in the courts, and chances are pretty good that they will be. It concerns me because the specter of massive institutional failure in federal law enforcement and the news media bodes very darkly for this country’s future.

Is McCabe delusional enough to believe that by confessing on a show like 60 minutes that he & other DOJ bureaucrats were seriously considering a coup, he will be excused of this behavior?

People don’t think big enough. Why waste billions of dollars on a wall that could be spent on something useful. A jet can fly over al wall to land au pairs for NY city matrons before ink authorizing new visas is even dry.

As long as these not so very deep state investigations never conclude they are like ships that never reach a port to unload cargo. Be the load in their hold dubious or not. Eventually the investigations don’t matter because Trump will be gone or king.

I call BS on this tin foil hat article and those comments about a Deep State coup. This morning it was revealed the entire Gang of 8 was briefed BEFORE the investigation. McCabe followed protocal. Wait for the Mueller report to be made public and a few more endictments to tell the compete story.
Is Trump a compromised leader? Absolutely. Is he an ignorant leader? Absoutely. He is an embarrasment.
I don’t know if Pelley’s interview with McCabe had him pitching any more softballs than his interview with Howard Schultz. The late night talk show hosts and their guests took aim at Schultz, not Pelley. I’m sure that more brickbats will be aimed at McCabe than Pelley, yours notwithstanding.
Yeah, it’s nice that JHK is trying to hold not the criminals in government to account, but their aiders and abettors in the media.
It’s like Rigoletto: the Duke is a scoundrel, but that’s expected, and he gets away with his crimes as his jester mocks the men the Duke despoils. At the end, the person who suffers most is

He is singing the same tune as most of the media. I cannot see why it’s career suicide; so long as they all remain in key, he will always have a job.
What he has killed is something else, but not his career prospects.
If anything, they’re likely enhanced. Never bite the hand that feeds.
The immediate future of the country is “very darkly”, but not so much for reasons of government corruption. That’s a given in every polity. The reasons are far more systemic in all social institutions, not least of which is the financial one. If you can keep your economy on solid financial principles, there is a fair chance that the government and other social institutions will work well enough to maintain stability. We are not in that situation today.

Revolt/disturbance/violence all implies some army. You could consider the court and police officers who might enforce a 25th amendment order as revolting troops, but they would think they are following lawful orders.

There is zero constitutional authority for the DOJ to arrest the President under the 25th Amendment. This includes FBI assault teams (like the one which arrested Roger Stone).

The DOJ can not take the initiative to force the President from authority by itself. It would need the authority by Congress.
The end statement is that this is a political removal and requires a two thirds majority in both houses to execute the removal. Fat chance.
The McCabe move is a pipe dream to limit the effectiveness of Trump. Just like Mueller.
If two thirds of the House and Senate were to vote against Trump, it would be Fait Accompli for the Deep State and the days of uniparty would begin.

…and it has been argued over the decades that the FBI itself is an unconstitutional agency. Certainly an extra-constitutional agency. It should be smashed to pieces and scattered to the four winds IMO.
But Bill Maher says the FBI is “our guys” and can be totally trusted, and that it is traitorous to suggest otherwise. I guess I’ll defer to the Playboy Mansion/CIA official comedian.
The FBI is exemplified by J Edger Hoover. Collect dirt on politicians and others illegally to maintain power. With the technology they have today it is truly frightening.

My friends, family, and many who I work and associate with are mostly in law enforcement. There is not a single one that will not tell you that without the profits from illegal drug trade and the loot from seizure, the country, if not the world would have collapsed long ago. In the regular PD’s, the drugs go to “evidence” warehouses which never seem to get so full that they need to build more so one can only wonder. They claim that much is “incinerated” and being that everyone in the business is so “squeaky clean” honorable and trustworthy, I am sure there is no monkey business (wink, wink). The cash gets cycled into the system in many ways. My next door neighbor years ago was an assistant county prosecutor who used to get to take his family on “law enforcement meetings/seminars” a couple of times a year. They were held in places like Vale, CO during ski seasons and Miami and all sorts of vacation spots. He would have a few hour long meetings/talks in the am and then be free for the day and all expenses were paid. Tough work but someone has to do it, right?
And that is only the small percentage that gets seized. Use your imagination. They do.

If all that is true, then those rumors about US troops guarding the poppy fields in Afghanistan don’t seem very far fetched at all. Rather they follow logically from the ethos of the System.
Our troops DO guard the fields, I personally know soldiers that have done so. It may never be known if any of the product goes for illegal drugs or not, but much becomes the property of Big Pharma. What their deal with the government is I have no idea, but it does not take much imagination to figure it out.

Usually it goes into drug storage and a sample is sent to lab to be looked at for markers as to where, who, how it was produced and purity.
It is held in storage until it is no longer needed for the case being made and then taken to an incinerator and burned.
No it is not held forever nor is it repurposed for sale elsewhere.

A huge hole in the balance of powers structure is the elevation of the intel community to a ult power position. There is no effective check on them to keep them from becoming weaponized politically.

I wonder what life was like in the 60s before America lost its collective mind. Was law enforcement really like Andy Griffith? Were courts actually interested in justice, rather than winning, with Hamilton Berger regularly getting turned into hamburger by Perry Mason because Mason’s client was innocent, with Berger going along with it?
I ask because of the child-like faith that JHK has in the legal system. Chances are << 1% that ANY of this will be fairly adjudicated in the courts.

The 1990s were a paradise of ethical behavior compared to today. I remember first hearing about Political Correctness in 1992; it was in its mild, Menshevik stage then. Now it’s full-blown Maoist. Hillary couldn’t get away with running on Bill Clinton’s record.
It all started back then – specifically presidential elections of 92. Bill has very little to do with all that.

Trump victory over Clinton was a revolt of American people against the Black Project, even without realizing that, purely on gut instinct.
I’m not too sure about the midterms. There was probably ballot box stuffing out in CA, but the country trusted the Republicans with control of Congress and the Presidency for exactly 4 years under W, and exactly two under Trump.
That control spawned the Iraq war in 2003, a $4trillion bonfire. Also, let’s not forget No Child Left Behind, and Medicare Part D. W barely snuck over the finish line in 2004 by winning Ohio. The 12-year Republican control of the House was ended in 2006 thanks to some of those disastrous choices.
The Dems have had full control of the Presidency and Congress for 4 of the last 39 years. Under Clinton, that got us a massive tax increase, destroying the 1986 tax act (but restoring none of the eliminated deductions). Under Obama, we got the “Affordable” care act. Both democratic presidents were soon denied the benefit of a compliant congress; luckily for them, all their Supreme Court opportunities were put through before the population wised up to them.
All Trump delivered with full government control was the ridiculous 2017 tax cut, which specifically targeted the Blue States, leaving exactly ONE representative from NJ in the R column as a result. I don’t recall Trump’s voters clamoring for a tax cut.
The thing that got a lot of Democrats elected was health care, not attacking Trump. Ending the scam system we all work and live under has been job 1 for a long time. W increased the burden with Part D. Trump delivered nothing on reducing the burden of healthcare on the middle class.

a.) Politicians, and some cops were corrupt, but mostly accountable.
b.) Tax, on taxable income, was high, but almost everything was deductable compared to current scenarios.
c.) Dope was only sold in inner city areas, manufactured & imported by organized entreprenuers. See item (a) above for explanation of continuity.
d.) Child molesters, rapists and other particularly egregious miscreants were often “disappeared” by the arresting officers; no paperwork or drain on the system required. Justice administered by tough-as-nails Irish guys who were not even from the same universe as Andy and Barney.
e.) Corporations paid most of the tax revenue.
f.) A guy could quit school at sixteen, go to the local factory, and make the modern equivalent of almost thirty bucks an hour at a unionized job that ended with a company paid pension that was in addition to SSA retirement benefits.
g.) Voter participation was high, and if your guy lost, you tried again in four years.
h.) Everybody knew that Communisim was for intellectual nut-jobs, and only looked good on paper.
i.) College cost about five thousand bucks a year, but who needed it ? See item (f) above.
And that ain’t all !
The only reason that it became the “American Dream” is because everyone decided to go to sleep.

The famed “first 100 days” are always critical to the success of any administration, yet here again, we see a self-styled “leader with great vision,” fail to take the most rudimentary steps that might have allowed him to realize that vision during the critical time frame when his power to do so was at its peak. Why is that? Did we learn nothing from Obama, who made similar grand gestures in a time of even greater opportunity, before delivering nothing at all, other than even more of the same for the same old beneficiaries?
If I didn’t know better (and I do), I’d think we’re all being played.
Trump made a huge error. He listened to too many Deep Staters for his initial appointments thinking he could make a deal with DC. Carter made the same mistake. His biggest flop was Jeff Sessions, who recused himself because he was right in the middle of the goings on. The whole intelligence fiasco resulted because of this bad decision.

I just listened to this interview of Robert David Steele yesterday and he brought up the subject of Trump’s mistakes at the very beginning. 6) self promotion/ deification over all other things including organizational objectives, colleagues and even common decency
That being said:
1) he is the duly elected president and sedition is not acceptable
2) said present should never have to jump through so many hoops to get an agenda item that is less than 1/10th of one percent of the federal budget
3) some of the ideas are good just not fitting the bureau of central control’s desire to spread like a cancer (news flash folks reality and said cancer are killing the host)
4) he is an effective if flawed agent for change which we desperately need , even if, we are unsure what we’ll get- at this point we need to stop or at least slow the train
So I guess despite all my misgivings about the man, the other side is so flawed, corrupt and bad for what is left of the republic/ humanity, he is the lessor of so many evils.

I think now would be a good time to make an assessment of Mrs. Clinton’s style of statecraft. When trying to reach a conclusion on some issue, it’s useful to get different points of view. I think a few days ago the Dept of State landed 3 C47s full of medical and sanitary supplies in Columbia near the Venezuelan border, which should help some. Clearly something has to change as there is actual famine inside the country right now as well as unchecked street violence and brutal police methods employed by Cuban security agents against Venezuelan citizens. One thing the US might be concerned with is a general collapse creating a power vacuum, and Chinese elite marines and Russian Spetznatz rushing in to fill that vacuum.

The object of the superwall is to avoid the bloodshed of enforcing the border by force of arms. As long as they are just decisions it seems like it is better for society altogether. I mean taxpayers have to fund the death row inmates until their day of justice no matter what horrible things they have done. That doesn’t seem fair. If you have done something to deserve capital punishment then there shouldn’t be a long waiting period for justice. It should be swift and just get it over with. And with other people in jail on lesser charges society should do more to reform these people and get them out of the prisons quicker. There should be no such thing as private (for profit) prisons.

Your high percentages of “experts” in these spurious disciplines are not really persuasive to me. People should learn to place a healthy dose of skepticism in the studies of sociologists & criminologists. And they are biased against the death penalty despite their protestations to the contrary.
This is one of the great evils of our times — the Gnostic fallacy — that through the mediation of so-called experts our society will reach perfection here on Earth. Nothing could be further from the truth. There do exist real experts in the world. But in those areas of study, unless opinion is carefully hedged, it should all be taken with a large grain of salt.

So you really have never experienced anything that can’t be explained with everyday logic and reason? I honestly have a hard time believing that. Do you think maybe its because you don’t want to? Or maybe because you simply can’t? One of my first memories of the paranormal goes back to when me and my cousins decided we were going to do a seance at my grandparents house. I remember that my grandparents and our parents, and like my guy cousins and brothers were all outside as it was a family get together during the summer. And so we sat right there in my grandparents’ living room, shut the door, and proceeded with trying to talk to the dead. We knew we weren’t supposed to do it. And being tweens we didn’t really know exactly what we were doing or what we were messing with. After a while of asking for any spirits to communicate with us we started hearing the sound of fingers tapping on the walls inside the room. I remember being scared but wanting to see what else would happen. We asked for the spirit or spirits to talk to us but that didn’t happen. But we kept hearing tapping noises on the walls and one of the chairs in the room moved on its own. At that point we were freaked out and that is when another chair sounded like something hit it. Then the knob on the door to the room started turning back and forth really quick and it was like someone was trying to open the door but shaking it violently. So naturally one of my cousins ran to the door to open it and run out when something scratched her on her arm. It looked like three distinct claw marks. But she did open the door and no one was in the house but us. We all started crying and ran outside and told our parents what happened. We were all basically hysterical at that point and I can remember not wanting to go back inside. I remember my uncle getting really mad about it and guess who ultimately got blamed for starting it. Yours truly of course. But the truth is we all wanted to see what would happen. And I remember how my mom and dad were not happy with me. But my mom did believe me and told me to be very careful. You can believe me or not. I have nothing to gain from telling you this. Maybe this will make you think I am more crazy than you thought I was to begin with. But it did happen and it was very real. And that was one of many things I have personally experienced. So if you don’t believe in the unseen world that’s cool. But it’s there anyway and this world we do see is therefore much more miraculous and magical than you think. Pagan? That’s why you call me a witch. Then, suddenly the stairs reappeared, and I was able to descend the stairs and return to my bungalow. True story…..

We were outside and I was playing fetch with him. He couldn’t have been more than a few months old. He had just discovered water. At that moment a bolt of lightning struck not 50 yards in front of me and a mere 25 yards in front of my puppy. My poor little puppy ran for the swamps and jumped in. I followed him, thinking to do the same thing, but when I got to the water’s edge I came to my senses.

It’s impossible to fully comprehend another plane of existence or dimension in my opinion. But a paranormal experience seems to happen when we catch glimpses into these alternate realms of existence or dimensions. Evidence is hard to come by because of the subjective nature of experience and conciousness in general.
The ouija board was discovered by some Happy Merchant who realized the potential & made millions. It’s designed to channel the emerging sexual energies of adolescents. Young girls getting their panties wet knocking knees & holding hands with young boys in dark rooms.

Funny thing is, nobody that gets within sniffing distance of the big chair doesn’t have serious kompromat on them held by multiple parties. Somebody upstream mentioned Laredo, Tx, 98% Mexican. It may or may not be a decent place, I don’t know, never been there. But I have been to Laredo, Cantrabia, Spain, a town on the northwest coast of the country, a lovely fishing village dating back to Roman times that also is a tourist destination in the summer. There’s a real Basque fishing fleet that goes out daily and brings in a catch and you can go down to the piers and buy fish right off the boat. Plenty of sidewalk cafes where you can sit out in the sun all day if you want, heaps of food out on platters for the taking. People sitting around chatting in the afternoons drinking wine in my case cold beer. Nobody seems to be working too hard in Laredo but nobody lacks for anything and citizens appear to be better dressed and healthier than people I see around here.
Checking a Texas website there seems to be a good amount of violent crime in Laredo, Tx. In Laredo, Spain it was a cool vibe, no violent crime I was aware of, all residents being of native Spanish origin.

There have been a few disclaimers put out over the years. Aliens need to manufacture their reality as bad as we do.
