About this fundraiser:

Welcome to the 2020 Emerald Hill Elementary Read - A - Thon! This event combines EHE's passion for reading with a fun way to help support our wonderful school!

The 2020 Read - A - Thon is the only PTO fundraising event for this school year, so please help us make it a success! This is a fun and educational event that develops our students’ love for reading, and supports the programs and resources our school needs to help them thrive throughout the year.

All donations are due on the 99pledges site by Friday, December 4, 2020. In person donation or pledges will need to be turned into the student's teacher the following Monday.

HOW IT WORKS
Students invite people to sponsor them for a flat amount donation or a per minute pledge. Relatives, friends and neighbors all make great sponsors! If you prefer that your child collect cash or checks, these may be sent to the PTO via your child's backpack. All checks should be made payable to EHE PTO.

SUPPORTING YOUR CHILD
Help them track their minutes—honesty counts! Help them fund raise by sharing their 99pledges link to their page by email, text or social media to family and friends. Social media is a great way to easily do this. Enjoy reading with them! Read together, visit the library, and gather books!

PRIZES
We will have multiple exciting and incentive prizes for our children this year. While our minimum goal of $30,000, we also want the student's to remember this is an event that encourages reading and EHE community spirit. Every child will have an opportunity to earn prizes. We will also have different ways to win either as individual readers or by teams (i.e. most minutes read or by most donations raised, etc.).

The class who has raised the most money will win the top prize of an author's visit, a signed copy of his book and a pizza party.

READING LOG
The students will be given a daily reading log to track their reading minutes. They will be required to complete the google form to submit their final amount of minutes in order to be eligible for the prizes. The form to submit your minutes is found in your Grade level Google Classroom. It is helpful to submit reading log form with the amount of minutes electronically in order for us to be prepared to distribute the prizes in a timely manner.
