Volume (1) Karl Brandt the Third Reich's Man in White; Volume (2) Joseph Mengele the Evil Doctor; Volume (3) When Man Became a Guinea Pig for Death; Volume (4) In the Beginning Was the Master Race.
Four of the hardest and most emotionally draining books I've ever read. Aziz encapsulates not only the pseudo-medical exploits of these "doctors," he explains how they came into being and how Hitler approved the actions taken by these men. Ensure that you are prepared for an assault on your emotional intelligence and well-being when you read them. They will test you. Ensure you are prepared to read them.
I have only read volume 1 but it was so good. Such a terrible time in history. Vol. 1 makes you see things from the other side of the fence and helps you see that some people were doing terrible things just to stay alive.
Some of the best books out there on this subject. Anyone who wants to know more regarding the holocaust and especially the horrors of the medical doctors and what they did should read these.
This, volume one in the series, was a very interesting account of the medical leadership of Nazi Germany, with Dr. Karl Brandt the focus of most of the book (likely because of his close personal relationship with Adolf Hitler). This was a very interesting book and a very good and easily-read translation from the original French.
