On March 26th, 2019, the European Union and it's legislature voted in favor of the resolution of Article 13 of the European Copyright Directive on Copyright in the Digital Market. As a result, YouTube, many sites, and the entire Internet has been put under siege. Article 13, as it is written, will not bring the results it wishes to see, but instead oppress and restrict the Internet. Forcing video-streaming sites such as YouTube to pull their entire services from Europe because the Copyright Directive demands them to adhere to demands that are just not possible within the limitations of computer science, and the only way they can adhere to these demands is by pulling out entirely. And not just video-streaming sites, but memes around the Internet will no longer be available to view within the European Union because they contain content that is deemed copyright. Memes will be blocked, videos taken down, freedom of speech/expression/protest online will be restricted and oppressed. Tyranny has shown its ugly face in Europe and it needs a response.

Even though some of us are not in the EU, all it takes is for someone within our Government to get the idea that Article 13 is a good thing and try to implement here in America or Russia or China or Japan or throughout the World. We can't allow that to happen and it needs to be killed in its crib. That's why we need the whole world to force the EU to reconsider its course. That if they don't, consequences will come and not in bright ways. Let us demand that the U.S.A., its President, Representatives, Senators, and everyone within the U.S. Legislature denounce the European Union and its Copyright Directive for its lamentable and abhorrent decision, and demand that consequences will follow if they refuse to cooperate. We can not treat the Internet like it's the Wild West because it's the last line of defense against tyranny and oppression throughout the world where freedom is at its purest. We can not allow governments or corporations that lobby governments to constrain the Internet within its own version. Otherwise pure freedom is dead. Pure freedom should never die and it will not die today!
