Dang, no enemies dropped that turn, though the enemy Wasp is hurting. The Havoc absolutely needs to cool off this turn, either jumping/running into the river or possibly melee'ing the cop car. As for the Locust, I think it should have Antagonized the Wasp, so might just run it south so everyone else can shoot it next turn perhaps. Another option is to use 0121 and run behind the Wasp and surprise them.

EDIT: Update at bottom of last page.

Yeah and we have the light Gauss on those VTOL to worry about. If the heavies have good shots we can run passive ground interference against the aircar and the Wasp. I just worry about exposing ourselves to the guys in the north.

For the Raven: Can I get behind the Urbie without leaving myself to open to back shots? The low armor on it's back is kind of tempting.

Sure, 2719 and face 2619.

The Bandersnatch can shoot anubis number 2 from 2323, while the Grand Titan has options from 2020 for the anubis or urbie.

The havoc can actually still run to (121->118-> 217) and plink once or twice at the wasp from relative safety of surrounding woods while also launching a kick.

It's also really tempting for the Battlemaster to just stand still blast the vtol next to it. It's gauss is inside min range, and you can unload on it with 5s/6s.

Plan on moving to 2423 and just anchoring there and starting to engage anything in range.

If so any suggestions for targeting priorities and can I stay parked there? Seems a good position. Hills, woods..

Just remember that if you can, it does have extended torso twist and is definitely still going to get some shots and a punch off at you. Plus, the Raven doesn't exactly have a ton of firepower. You probably won't kill it in one turn, but you'll definitely keep it's attention.

I was thinking of getting directly behind it and putting a hurt on it this turn then tagging/harassing the northern guys next turn using the woods as cover.

I'm considering going into 1521, shooting up the Aircar and VTOL and next turn going backwards to 1923. Granted it's min range for LRM, but good rolls on the Medium Lasers on the VTOL. The Aircar would also be toast or blocked in. In case their survival makes a difference (it probably does). Though I guess it could be still be offed by the Bandersnatch next turn.

And putting the hurt on the Urbie is probably better for the battle.

Thoughts?

This is correct.

The UrbanMech has the minimal arms quirk, which means its arm weapons can only be fired in the front arc; but it also has extended torso twist so it can fire directly behind itself. ETT is as close to 360* Torso Twist as BattleTech gets.

Someone else needs to double check this- if you park in 2423, you may not be able to shoot the Anubis through the woods. You can however make it to 2323, which puts you out of cover but there actually isn't anyone else with LOS other than the Ani. And you'll get better odds to hit him.

Fake EDIT- looking again, that AA track at 2314 is at height 2. So he probably can shoot you over the trees and his odds would be good.

Actual EDIT- 2423 is a good move if you want to get a good position and also solid cover. Especially from those light gauss in front of you

Looking over my options, and gently caress it- probably gonna jump to 1018 and punch than Anubis. Unless someone else can suggest a better move, those gunships don't really give me a good option since I can either walk and shoot, or jump without shooting.

If I am not mistaken you have LoS on (and they on you) the Anubis in 2317 and the AA Tank in 2314.

The AA Tank hasn't moved (0) is in woods (+1), one wood in between (+1), range (+2 for LRM and AC/10), and your movement (+2) = 3 + 0 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 2 = 9
The Anubis has moved 4 hexes (+1), has stealth? (+1?) is in woods (+1), one wood in between (+1), range (+2 for AC/10 + 0 for LRM), and your movement (+2) = 3 + 1 +1 +1 +1 + 0/2 + 2 = 9 for LRMs and 11 for AC/10s on the Anubis

The AA Tank has ablative reactive Armor, so your ammo/weapons may matter. I just don't know the specifics.

2423 also puts you in a good position to clown on the Aircars next turn, which is a mission objective.

@Raven
You could walk backwards to 2021, turn left and go to 2018 and light up the Anubis with your TAG and weapons. Which could help the Bandersnatch fire LRMs at the Anubis.

In addition to what Tank Boy Ken said, you'll have LoS on the security checkpoint in 2413. Shots are probably on 4s (3 base + 2 move + 2 med range + 1 woods - 4 stationary target).

Okay, going to go to 2423 and take whatever shots I can get and divvy up fire. Might get lucky with harrassment.

Bushwacker

Run forwards to 2423, face forward/north.

Fire Autocannon (AC/10)(Both) loaded with HE Ammo at AA Tank (In Hex 2314)

Fire LRM/10 (Both) loaded with Laser-Guided Ammo at Anubis (Hex 2317).

Contingency: If either target is destroyed before full salvo of weapon is shot at target, switch remaining shots to other target.

That good or anyone have some general thoughts on corrections?

Or as I scroll up given the low to-hit #'s it worth it to fire at the security checkpoint instead with a salvo?

Or just focus fire only on one of them?

Edit #2: Or go all in at the Anubis to get in the fire? Yeesh, this is what I get for doing orders while there's chatter about.

You two should definitely coordinate, since the TAG will help the LRMs' Laser-Guided Missiles hit.

Also, I wouldn't suggest splitting fire, since it will make your shots more likely to miss. (There's a +1 penalty for secondary targets).

Theres a heavy and a light wood in your LOS, which means an extra 1/2 to your to-hit. But even if the odds are low, no harm taking the shot.

Fortunately, I don't see any heavy woods on the entire map - there's rough terrain (i.e. in 2422), but that won't effect LoS.
