It's back.

The mosaic of food, spirits and wine otherwise known as Come and Get It returns 6-10 p.m. Oct. 4 to the Remington Suite Hotel & Spa, 220 Travis St.

Celebrity chefs will show off their culinary chops through tastings designed to wow the taste buds.

"Come and Get It is the go-to event for an immersive wine and food experience in northwest Louisiana," said Steven Knight with the Louisiana Food Prize, which hosts the event and other culinary experiences during Prize Fest. "Guests will do more than indulge in rich flavors and drink to their content, this experience will come full circle through interactions with our celebrity chefs. Where else can you have Troy Johnson or PK Newby describe their custom dish ingredient by ingredient and snag a selfie? These chefs want to interact with you, and we want our local foodies to take advantage of this amazing opportunity."

All of the chefs involved have been working on the menu collectively for a few months, said Tom Ramsey, a Mississippi restaurateur and chef.

Ramsey, who will serve as emcee along with Food Network host Troy Johnson, said the menu encompasses a variety of dishes from traditional to modern, and the personal style of each chef is represented throughout it.

Attendees can sample the modern style of Tristen Epps through his cumin beef ribs, curry and sweet and sour eggplant or the classical French cuisine Ryan Hughes was trained on with his coq au vin with polenta fries. Johnson's San Diego culture also is represented with his Baja fish tacos.

"We're really excited about the level of talent coming this year,  the level of food and just the different options people will have this year," Ramsey said.

Come and Get It has become the regions preeminent food and wine festival, said Food Prize Founder Gregory Kallenberg.

“Celebrity chefs are clamoring for the opportunity to be at Food Prize," he said. "And we couldn’t be more excited to accommodate them at the wine and food event, our Thursday cooking demo and the Regina Charboneau Biscuit Brunch.”

In addition to Ramsey and Johnson, the event's celebrity chefs include: Epps, a New York City chef and past competitor on ABC's "The Taste;" Hughes, owner of Purloo in New Orleans; P.K. Newby, a Boston chef and Harvard food scientist; Jeremy Conner, a Lafayette chef and founder of Cellar Salt Co.; Alex Harrell, chef and owner of the New Orleans restaurant Angeline; Regina Charboneau, a Mississippi chef known as the "Biscuit Queen;" and Jason Brady, owner of the Jason Brady restaurant Group.

Come and Get It also will feature the "One Pot" chef relay.  One at a time, each of the five chefs competing in the Battle for the Golden Fork will come on the stage to add something to the pot. Collectively, without knowing what the previous chef added, this culinary force will create "one pot of something awesome" for the crowd.

This year's Battle for the Golden Fork Chefs are Eleazar Mondragon, Ki Mexico; Jacob Mouser, sous chef at Frank's Pizza Napoletana; Melissa Stewart, Now You're Cooking; John Strand, Accents Personal Chef Service; and George Beaird, The Port Grill.
