The story behind Danish Pete's Gibson Les Paul
There is no doubt that Andertons TV presenter Danish Pete Honore has an eye for a great guitar.
A short while ago, Pete and "The Captain" Lee Anderton visited the Gibson showroom in London to play a host of stunning Custom Shop Les Pauls. Pete picked out his favourite from the numerous guitars he tried, settling on an incredible True Historic '58 in a Heritage Cherry Sunburst relic finish. It simply had that elusive X factor feeling.
This particular Les Paul is extra special, as it's crafted by the famous Gibson Custom Shop and aged with utmost detail by legendary guitar designer Tom Murphy. He went to extensive lengths to give it the "played in" relic character, also leaving his signature mark on the figured top. It's equally as impressive in tone, which sounds bright and extremely dynamic in comparison to other vintage style Les Pauls. Watch the video for the full lowdown.

Get your hands on a Danish Pete-inspired Gibson Custom Les Paul
We'd be doing a disservice if other players couldn't experience the same sound and feel of Pete's gorgeous Les Paul. So we went back to Gibson's HQ to take its measurements, examine the pickups closely and get to the bottom of what makes it so special. Keep an eye out for a new video documenting the trip. Lee and Pete uncovered some exciting revelations about the Les Paul's specs - particularly the pickups...
As a result, we've worked with Gibson to design an exclusive handful of Made 2 Measure Les Pauls identical to Pete's own guitar! The Custom Shop have used a PLEK machine to ensure every nuance of the original is carried over to the newly built instruments. We also picked out a number of figured maple tops for each guitar to look truly unique.
