Jackie Granger Announced as Pace Volleyball Coach

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Pace University Director of Athletics Mark Brown has announced the hiring of Jackie Granger as the new head coach of the Setters' volleyball program.

"I am extremely excited to welcome Jackie to the Pace community," said Brown. "Her experience and leadership will allow us to continue the steady and significant growth of our volleyball program."

Granger comes to Pleasantville following a season at Georgetown University, where she served as the Hoyas' top assistant coach for the 2018 campaign. Georgetown went 17-13 last year with Granger part of the coaching staff. In addition to being heavily involved with coaching responsibilities, Granger assisted in recruiting, managing the team's compliance, and coordinating volleyball camps and clinics.

"I am very excited to be returning to New York and join the Pace Community," said Granger. "I am looking forward to working with the team and continuing to grow as a program."

Prior to Georgetown, Granger served as assistant coach for the New Jersey Institute of Technology volleyball team in 2017. She also had stints as assistant coach at Dominican University, and as head coach at The Masters School in Dobbs Ferry.

Granger had a very successful collegiate career on the court, playing for St. John's University from 2002 to 2004 before using her final year of eligibility at Stony Brook in 2007. Granger racked up 2,386 kills during her collegiate career, which still ranks 14th all-time in Division I volleyball history.

Granger was a three-time American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Honorable Mention All-America. She posted a trio of 600-kill seasons, ranking in the top-25 in the nation in kills per game in 2003, 2004, and 2007.

Granger earned BIG EAST First Team honors in 2003 and 2004 as part of the Red Storm before being named the America East Player of the Year with Stony Brook in 2007.

Granger graduated from St. John's in 2006 with a Bachelor's in Communication.
