Hey guys it's Cherry again and I made my first ever stars finals!!! Blog is less prompt than usual because I was afraid to jinx myself by writing it before my spot was solidified with the final four results.
This is my 7th time playing (lucky number!) and my previous best placement was 5th. This is also the only game I have ever survived more than one poll, and I am so happy to have survived three.
I knew there would be no laying low in this cast once I became an immediate target 5 minutes into day 1, courtesy of MmabatlokoaMolefe. I avoided going up for 16th by creating my own counter set, and securing the votes on my side. After that, my name continued to float around almost every day, and I was a counter 9 times and managed to secure majority to avoid going up 6 of those times, because of the social bonds I made in this cast.
I really like that Stars is a game that brings out many different people on the site, and everytime I play I encounter people that I have never met before, so it's always interesting meeting new people and coming in with far less preconceived notions than there are in the typical frookies cast.
My number one ally in the game was AmandaBynes and after we were put up together for 9th I had to maneuver the second half of the game without the one person I knew I could trust. I managed to avoid going up 8th-5th places despite being down my two strongest allies (the other being Paul028 who I also went up against for 13th). There was no way to avoid going up for fourth though, as LexeyJane and I were deemed the two biggest popularity threats in the game, and the other three all got together at final five to lock us in for fourth to ensure one of us would be knocked out before finals.
I overcame all of my obstacles this game, and I am extremely proud of myself and the way I played. I'm happy to be sitting in the finals with Norris and FriendOfAMonk, two people I just met this game, and I respect them both as amazing fellow competitors.
