Course and Examination Registration - Faculty of LAW

Steps that you need to follow, before sitting for the examination.

Step 1: Register for the Courses

  1. Login to the Student Information System (SiS) using your username and password (https://sis.cmb.ac.lk/law/)
  2. Goto Courses ➔ My Courses. Then you can see the following type of window.

  1. If your level has compulsory courses, they will be automatically added to your and other elective courses can be added as your preference by selecting the above dropdown menu.
  2. Then the course registration is done.
  3. If you want to register for the repeat courses, goto

Courses ➔ Repeat Registration.

  1. Select the courses which you want to repeat from the dropdown menu and click the “Add” button.

Step 2: Register for the Examination

  1. Log in to the Student Information System (SiS) using your username and password (https://sis.cmb.ac.lk/law/)
  2. Goto Exams ➔ Exam Registration. Then you can see the following type of window.

  1. Select Medium by clicking on radio buttons in bottom right corner and click on the “Confirm” button.
  2. If you want to register for the repeat examination, goto

Exams ➔ Examination Repeat Registration.

  1. Click the “Confirm” button after checking the repeat courses.

  1. If you want to register for the first year repeat examination, goto Exams ➔ First Year Examination Repeat Registration and do the same as above.

  • If you do not have courses in the Exam Registration page or Examination Repeat Registration page when you visit there, it means you did not register for the courses (Should do Step 1. If the course registration period is disabled you should take permission from the dean.)

Step 3: Download Admission Card

  1. Login to the Student Information System (SiS) using your username and password (https://sis.cmb.ac.lk/law/)
  2. Goto Exams ➔ Download Exam Admissions. Then you can see the following type of window.

  1. Once you click on the Download link you can download the admission card

System Messages

  1. The examination branch printed or generated your Exam Admission Card.
  2. Number of times that you have confirmed your courses.
  3. The time of your last course confirmation
  4. Once you confirm your courses this message will show.
