Intel Alder Lake-S and Alder Lake-P CPU, GPU and PCH configurations leaked

Intel Alder Lake up to 16 compute cores

Intel’s upcoming 12th Gen Core series featuring Hybrid technology (aka big.SMALL architecture) is set to launch in the second half of 2021, the company confirmed last month. According to an earlier leak from PTT Shopping forums, Alder Lake-S was to be available with at least three variants. The numbers (etc. 8+8+1) refer to BIG, SMALL, and GPU core counts respectively.

A new leak from Coreboot has all the configurations of the Alder Lake series listed. This includes Alder Lake-S (desktop) and Alder Lake-P (which appears to be a mobile series). It is revealed that the series will indeed feature from 2 to 8 big cores and from 0 to 8 small cores.

When it comes to integrated graphics, the Core S-Series will only be available with GT1 configuration. A higher-end configuration known as GT2 will launch for some P-Series SKUs, although the majority of the models will stick to GT1.

Unsurprisingly Intel is still using GTx codenames for its integrated graphics. Unfortunately, it is not revealed if the graphics are based on the same Gen12 Xe Graphics as Rocket Lake, or if they are using a newer architecture.
