There are countless images across the wiki that — while they look fine with the normal display — contrast badly with Night Vision's color scheme. The purpose of this thread is to weed these images out by replacing them with either transparent versions, or sometimes just a higher-quality version.
What causes an image to contrast most often is that it has an unnecessary, blank white background. A good example is the former image for Orbot & Cubot◊ on the character subpage for Sonic The Hedgehog, which has since been swapped out for a transparent version◊.
Another cause is when the image in question is already transparent, but it wasn't cut out properly and now has an unsightly artifact of its background around it. For example, the former image◊ for Studio Ghibli, which has also been replaced with a cleaner version◊.
These details are basically impossible to notice on the normal display's white background, and since not everyone uses Night Vision regularly, a lot of these images sneak through. Please keep Night Vision in mind when suggesting or uploading any new image for use on a page.
To tell if an image needs replacing, just switch on Night Vision (if you don't already have it enabled) and see if the image has either of the two problems detailed above. If it does, then either add it to this index and report it here so someone can replace it or, if you are able to, go ahead and replace the image yourself. You don't need to ask for permission; image quality upgrades are a free action. You are not obligated to report any upgrades you made here, but that would be appreciated, since that would help this thread get traffic.
Please note that not every image with a white background will need to be replaced. In some cases the white background is as much a part of the image as any other detail. Take for instance, the page image◊ for The Lost Room. Other examples, like any page that uses a panel from a black-and-white comic or manga, such as the current image◊ for Heroic Resolve, should also be okay (unless the background takes up a unusual amount of space, then it will probably just need to be cropped). If you are unsure if an image should be replaced, bring it up here.

Would making an index like Administrivia.Pages Needing Transparent Images be a good idea? Because I think that kind of list could be helpful, and I've noticed at least five pages with this problem.
Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)Yeah, that sounds good to me.
Alright, I've started it, but it's still under construction.

Does Bender's image on the Futurama character page need to be replaced? It's got a bit of artifacting going on, but it's not as bad as the Studio Ghibli image in the OP.
Fangs of the relentless thousandThe artifacting on that image isn't the worst I've seen, but it's still noticeable, so I replaced it. That image also had a signature on the bottom-left, that alone would've been enough to justify a replacement.
I used a screenshot from the show since it was the only section on the page that didn't use one.

I uploaded a transparent version of the image on Locked Pages from Wikimedia Commons, but can't add it because the page itself is locked. EDIT: It's done now.

Keet cleanupThough this might be more suited for Image Pickin', does the image on Updated Re-release (which has a white background) really need both the Japanese and American box arts?

Keet cleanupI made a transparent version of the image on VideoGame.Sonic Boom:
But do you think it would look better if the images were arranged like so:
Changed Shallot's image on Characters.Dragon Ball Legends from his model sheet:
to this official art:
Keet cleanupPrimis changed the image on Whale Egg from the following to a higher quality version of the second image. I agree the first isn't needed, but I thought I'd bring this up.
Keet cleanupDoes anyone think the image on The Shadow Knows needs a transparent background? It might make it too hard to see.
I think it's better as is.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes. Can I replace the image on Pie-Eyed with this clipart of Mickey and Minnie Mouse◊?
Keet cleanupNo, because it leads me to a 403 Forbidden (at least on my phone). I may check it on the computer later, though.
Nope, won't work on my computer either.

Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)No objections here, but you might want to ask in the IP discussion thread.
The link isn't working for me. Go ahead and bring it to the IP discussion thread if you haven't already done so.
Transparency aside, the new Knuckles Clan image looks worse than the old one. Current looks like it was scanned from standard printer paper; the colors are washed out and there's vertical lines. And yes, I know it's from Sonic News Network, but still...

Keet cleanupYeah, I noticed that when I uploaded it. I'm not too concerned, though, since that entire entry's going to be cut once we get around to reorganizing the character pages.
We could probably cut it now, honestly.
I changed the Knuckles Clan image since not everyone agrees with cutting it.
Keet cleanupSuper Mario Wiki has a version◊ of the group art used on Mario Kart 7 with a transparent "sky" background. Should it be replaced? The background of the box is white.
Keet cleanupIf that's the image that's on the page, then yeah, I'd say go for the transparent version.
