A woman has spoken of her grief after her beloved husband who "could turn any ambiance into light" died suddenly from a heart attack at just 40 years old.

Ratandeep Bhosale, from India, was working as a software engineer for Siemens in Hull. His wife, Shraddha Bhosale, and their nine-year-old son were allowed to emigrate with him on a dependent visa and the family lived in Willerby.

Tragically, Mr Bhosale died suddenly on Sunday, December 11, after suffering from chest pain he'd at first assumed was acid reflux. At around 4:30am that morning he complained of pain but told his wife not to worry.

Mrs Bhosale said she rubbed her husband’s chest and asked him if she should call an ambulance but he said no because it was similar to a pain he'd previously had.

Just 10 minutes later, he started getting pain in his left hand and asked his wife to call an ambulance. The ambulance service was busy when Mrs Bhosale called and they told her it would "take time" for one to come, she said.

December is the busiest month for paramedics

While they were waiting for an ambulance to arrive, Mrs Bhosale said that her husband started to sweat and he told her he was feeling "really not feeling good". He became dizzy and vomited.

She added: “I asked him to sit down so he would feel comfortable and he fainted after that. My son brought a bucket for him and he vomited. He was not conscious and he totally fainted."

Mrs Bhosale described how his "lips were turning white" and he was not responding. She said: “It was the case of one hour when everything went wrong."

According to Mrs Bhosale, the ambulance came at 5:40am. She said: "When I asked them if he’s ok they said it was a critical situation and at around 6:30am they said they can’t help him."

She recalled how her little boy was crying for his father, shouting: "Baba, Baba just wake up."

Paying tribute to her husband, Mrs Bhosale said: “My husband could make any ambiance into light. He was a really nice person and he could catch the crowd and turn them according to him.”

His death has left her stricken with grief. She said: “That day I was just praying for God to take me with him. I can’t live without him. After my husband passed away I was not able to think - I was just crying.”

Mrs Bhosale cannot work in the UK now her husband is dead, so she and her son will have to return to India. She has been fundraising to take her husband’s body back for a funeral with all their relatives.

After his death, Mr Bhosale’s bank account was frozen and so Mrs Bhosale has been struggling financially. She said: “A job is so important for mine and my son’s survival. After my husband passed away, everyone supported me.

“Everyone in the Hindu community made me realise I have to stand on my own feet and complete the legal documents.” Ms Bhosale has raised £36,702 on the Go Fund Me page so she has almost reached her goal of £40,000.

She said that she and her son will be returning to India on Wednesday, the same day as her husband's body. The funeral arrangements have not been finalised yet but the service will take place three days from then, to abide with Hindu customs.

Mrs Bhosale added: “His parents want to see him for the last time and they want to complete the funeral services according to the religion. They want him to be there with all his friends and family members.”
