Here you go people:

Chapter 4

Skye awakes unsteadily and notices she is surrounded by four steel walls with holes in them.

Where am I? What happened?

Skye searches around her, trying to find something that will indicate where she is. She assumed she was in a crate because when she looked out the holes, she saw other crates full of little children like her. Some were older than her and some were younger, some were dead and some were nearly dead. She did not like the look of this place. Skye’s observation was interrupted by three people wearing long white coats.

‘Who are you?’ asks Skye timidly.

‘We are the people that created your parents. Your delinquents of parents,’ replied the only female scientist. ‘Your parents couldn’t help but break out of here when they were not that much older than you, but soon they will be back here. Where they belong!’

‘No, they will come and get me and then we will leave this awful place. You let young children die in these crates, you don’t care about them do you?’

‘We only care about one thing, helping speed along the development of humans.’

‘How does my Mommy and Daddy come into that?’

‘Well, can’t you see child? Your parents were the next step, the next development for humans. Being able to fly. And you, you have solved a problem for us.’

‘What’s that?’

‘That our hybrids are not infertile and everyone does not have to be genetically engineered,’ sneered the female scientist.

‘Just leave us alone, if you did this once, then you can do it again, why do you need us?’

‘Because we need your mother’s blood.’

Meanwhile, Fang and Max are flying to the airport. They land on the outskirts of the airport so that they can not be seen. Max fits herself with a windbreaker and so does Fang. They jump over the fence to the airport and begin searching for the helicopter that the Erasers were using.

‘I can’t see it Fang,’ says Max .

‘Neither can I!’

‘It has to be around here somewhere, I’ll go into the terminal to see if I can find out any flights to the US, okay? And you keep looking in case you spot the helicopter.’

‘Okay.’

Max ran off into the terminal. She located the check in desks and went up and politely asked the lady if there were any flights to America today.

‘No, there are not any more flights today to America, he last one left one hour ago.’

‘Thank you,’ replied Max.

Fang saw Max come back out of the terminal. He had no luck in finding the helicopter, maybe Max had some luck.

‘You find anything?’ asked Fang.

‘Yeah, there are no more flights to America today, the last one was an hour ago.’

‘Right, okay, let’s go.’

They set off on their long journey from the airport to America. They would not reach it until night time the next day.

They had better not hurt my baby, or I swear they will die. I just hope we are not too late.

A tear falls from her eye and she looks at Fang. A tear then falls from Fang’s eyes. Both of them knowing there will be time for tears later.

Here's Chapter 5 for y'all now. Sorry that i didn't post any more sooner but i have not had a lot of time recently, so i was unable to write any more until now!

Chapter 5

Two days later, Max and Fang land in California in Death Valley. Fang goes off to find fire wood so that they can get some heat for the night. Max sits and thinks about Skye, then she stops because she does not want to think about what those monsters are doing to her little innocent child.

Why did they take her? And why didn’t they just take me if it was me that they wanted in the first place? They could have just taken me. I swear they had better not hurt my baby…I’ll..I’ll…

Max’s train of thoughts ended there as Fang returned with armfuls of fire wood. Max set about setting the fire up and lit it with some matches that Fang found whilst scavenging.

‘Do you think she’s, she’s still…you know?’ asked Max timidly and quietly.

‘No, Skye’s alive, we would know if she wasn’t!’ said Fang abruptly and just loud enough for Max to hear.

‘Why do you think they took Skye, if it was me that they wanted? They could have taken me in the cabin. They did knock me out!’

‘I don’t know, I really don’t know, unless, they took her on purpose to hurt us?’

‘Most likely. They would do anything to get back at us, even after all this time, for setting all those other experiments free at the Institute!’

With this, Fang leant over and kissed Max softly on the cheek. He lay down near the fire and curled up into to the foetal position and began to sob so lightly that even Max did not know. Fang was crying in fear that he would never see his baby again. A few minutes late, Max lay down next to him and cuddled into him. They both lay there sobbing quietly, so as not to let on to the other that they were crying. Neither of them could show the other just how vulnerable they really were.

Meanwhile, in the lab, the scientist’s had just finished conducting blood tests and fitness tests on Skye.

‘What are all these tests for if it’s my Mommy and Daddy you want? Why do I have to do these tests for?’ shouted Skye, whilst she sat rocking back and forth in her crate.

The lady scientist came over to her and bended over so that Skye could see her sneering face through he air holes of the crate.

‘We are doing these to tests to make sure that you are a successful offspring. We can not be sure that your mother and father are of great engineering and that they’re offspring are not going to die for under-efficient engineering. We have to make sure you are just as powerful and successful as they are, or else there is no point in creating any more of your kind, and we will have to terminate you all.’

Skye sat there shaking at the idea of her Mommy and Daddy and her dying. She did not like the notion of dying, because she had no idea if there was a heaven created for mutants like her. She hoped there was.
