Koh Tonsay Tourism Port Reaches 90%  Completion, Marking Milestone for Kep Province

A significant milestone has been achieved in Kep province as the construction of the tourist port on Koh Tonsay nears completion, reaching an impressive 90% as of 19 March 2024. This progress was confirmed during an inspection conducted by HE Dr. Som Piseth, Governor of Kep Province, and the accompanying working group, underscoring the province’s commitment to enhancing its tourism infrastructure.

HE Dr Som Piseth highlighted the project’s significance, noting its alignment with the “Kep Provincial Tourism Development Master Plan 2023-2035.” Positioned as a pivotal component of the archipelago tourism development strategy, the port aims to elevate Kep into a premier natural tourism destination and luxury seaside resort.

Funded by approximately US$1.6 million and supported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the project holds promise in transforming Koh Tonsay into a modern and sought-after tourist destination. With its strategic location and enhanced facilities, Koh Tonsay is poised to attract a surge of visitors, boosting tourism and economic opportunities in the region. (Read more)
