Loved It
This book was packed full of so many things that make some book that you just can’t put down and become so enthralled with. Micah/Snake was ready to step down as President of the Devil’s Inferno MC and for his son to step up to follow the legacy but there was so much more to this part of the story alone that by the end my heart broke for Micah.
Micah and Cami had a thing years ago but without Micah committing Cami left for college and forged her own path in life…even though there were so many secrets that would have crushed her if she ever found out. Now years later Micah knows what he has lost and wants to make confessions and bring Cami back to him. He also wants his club to leave their old ways and create a new path for the club that he started but at what cost will that happen.
This was an action-packed MC romance that had my feelings all over the place and it was a book that I couldn’t put down.

I absolutely love that this story features mature characters who find their second chance together later in life. Too much stood in their way once Camilla went away to college and Micah became immersed in the MC life. This is the first book I've read by this author and it's not going to be my last. This is a touching second chance story done in the MC world.
There is regret, mistakes, redemption, and forgiveness all seamlessly woven into the fabric of the MC World. The main characters in this book are older adults with adult kids. They were each other's first love but life happened. Micah is at the stage in life ready to retire and hand over the gavel. His past mistakes have been weighing him down and he's seeking retribution for the pain he caused.
Micah and Camille's reunion unravels hidden truths and emotions. Their reunion is sweet, with heartfelt emotions, and a tinge of pain, that had me empathizing for what was lost and what could have been.
Thetta James skillfully bridged feelings of heartbreak, lies, betrayal, deceit, and retribution, which left me raw with emotions

Micah wasn't always the bad man. He became what he needed to be when he formed his own MC.
When he was young, he was headstrong and didn't like school, doing the minimum to get through. The highlight of his day was Cami, his sweet, innocent girlfriend as far as the world knew. She was all his, contrary to the wishes of her parents. She grounded him, the light to his dark. He knew she wanted more in life including continuing her education and he was honest with her to the end. He couldn't commit and he didn't want to hold her back. He pushed her to go away to college and kept her at arms length when she visited for holidays. He never wanted to be the reason she didn't succeed but he did succeed in pushing her into another man's arms.
Now times and things have changed. He had a son and she had her family. Because of personal decisions, she is on her own again. Micah decided it's time to claim the love of his life!
Will Cami give in? Will Micah finally have a life full of love and peace?
I truly enjoyed this late in life second chance love story. It helps remind me that love is always an option and not just for young people. Couples can use their experiences in life to enhance their relationship.
Thetta shows this as well as giving excitement thru the final trials of Micah's journey back to Cami. She truly can tell a story from all angles taking you right to the heart and making you feel each beat!

While I still had the thrill and action I've come to expect from this incredible world, Micah and Cami's story is a heartfelt second chance love story.
Secrets, redemption, and forgiveness thread these two broken hearts. Stitching back together, two lost loves with a seam so strong, neither side can break or deny the force of Fate.
Knowing the type of man Micah was and the things he has done, I never thought I'd be standing on the side lines, shaking a pair of pom-poms, and cheering for his happily ever after... but I did!
I loved everything about this story.
Although it's a short read and I wanted so much more... Thetta James worked her magic with words, giving me once again an unforgettable story!

Camille has always loved Micah even though she married someone else. When the truth came out about his other life, instead of facing the consequences he ended his own life.
Years later Micah and Camille are reunited. Camille want answers about her husband's life. Micah is ready to reveal the truth in hopes Camille can forgive him.
My heart went out to Micah regarding Hawk. I felt his pain. So heartbreaking.

Thetta James wrote a book I could not put down. She's amazing. I cried laughing. The Russian mafia, it was so good to see Russian people represented. The way it was written was masterful. I applaud Thetta. Russian mafia is definitely ruthless from what I have watched in Russian movies. The way she made the accent so clear made me laugh because it's so true.
Now..... the love between Micah and Camille. SWOON. He is definitely book boyfriend lover material. I know I was reading older hero/heroine but it was soooo satisfying. Thetta has pulled at my heart strings again! I don’t know how she does it but it’s like she knows how to read my mind and put my life experiences in her story. The older we get, the more set in our ways we are. The more we don’t think love will find us again. That it’s just not meant for us to have again. Whether it’s a past love or someone you want and don’t think you could ever have. Whether it’s your kids that you don’t think will approve… all of that doesn’t matter. You deserve to be happy! Devil’s Betrayal by Thetta James is the story of Micah and Camille (Cami). He is the president of the Devil’s Inferno MC and she is the love of his life…but, was married to another. The back story for this romance is so convoluted and confusing I kept thinking I had somehow jumped into the middle of an MC series. But, nope…this is book 1. The constant switching between the characters’ given names and MC names was so confusing, referring to both, at times, in the same paragraph. The names were apparently interchangeable…with nearly every character.
The story was pretty good. But, just not able to get into it. 3.5 stars.

As is true MC style Author Thetta James takes you on a ride. And, what a ride it is! I loved everything about Micah and Camille's (Cami) story especially that this couple is older. Their story is intriguing, and their romance explosive. Thetta delivers a story with characters who are engaging. Micah and Camille's story has tension, suspense, raw emotion, and heat. This combines into a captivating and heart-wrenching, heartwarming story of second-chance romance. Hands down this is a 5-star read.

Wooooww! I have never been into MC books, but Thetta James has totally won me over with her series. I really enjoyed reading Micah's back story. We really get to know the man behind the ruthless Devils. This book is about his journey living the life of a hard MC prez, and we get to know his soft side as he finally let's love in his life. Camille brings the spark of hope and love back into him and its fireworks when they are together. I loved reading their happily ever after and I'm anxiously waiting for more stories by Thetta James!

Devil’s Betrayal by Thetta James was an unexpected treat. I enjoy reading her stories of all genres. This MC spin off is a second chance romance for us slightly older crew. After reading her Rebel Souls, it is entertaining to get a broader picture of the “bad guys”.
Micah and Cami deal with so many struggles. The angst is high and the desire is strong. I highly recommend reading this story even if you haven’t begun any others in this series.

This is my first read by this author and I can't help but wonder what's taken me so long. Devil's Betrayal is Micah and Cami' journey and it's emotional, intense, gritty and heartbreaking at times. Their path to forever was a long time coming and lots had to be forgiven along the way. This story is about family, loyalty and that very forgiveness. A great introduction to this new to me author.

I adored this second-chance romance. Micah and Camille's story, deeply touched me. Their turbulent history and the emotional tension of rekindling their love, especially when Camille considers the impact on her family, made for a compelling read. The author kept this story real and unpredictable. This story is a bit different from her Rebel Souls series. It’s softer yet no less exciting and nail biting. What I love about this story is, just because it’s an MC story doesn’t mean there has to be globs and globs of violence. To me this is a story about love. Micah’s love for Camille, his love for his son and his love for his club and he’s trying to do the right thing by everyone but I especially adore his love for his woman. I mean good gawd man, I need a Micah of my own. Hmm. Maybe I’ll have to fight Camille for him. Nope, she’d problem end me for even trying.
I LOVED THIS STORY. I was left with this thought in the end. It’s never too late to go after the love of your life just because you’re over 50. Love can be even more magical and exciting during that time in your life. This love story most certainly rivals young love because of experience, history and years of living a hard life and simply knowing what you want. No drama, foolishness and wasting more time. Grab the bull by the horns and take what each of us so rightly deserve. Love.

And how power and greed can completely change the trajectory of the path that would have led to your legacy.
Micah always thought his son, Hawk would take over. But now that he is getting ready to retire, he is not sure that is the best decision.
Going legit has been his wish for quite some time but he wants to make sure his club has a strong basis to stand on before he steps down.
However, not everyone shares his enthusiasm. Hawk relishes in the money that trafficking brings and undermines Micahs authority, fighting him on it every chance he gets. Falling deeper and deeper into greed and power, Micah must decide if someone else is better suited to be his successor and lead the Devils down the right path.

Devil's Betrayal by Thetta James is the first book released in the Devil's Inferno World MC series. This is also the first book of Thetta James that I've read. I like the characters she has created for her part of this series but just wish the story wasn't so confusing. The whole time I read I felt like I was missing something, like a book or series that should have been read before this one to understand what was happening.
Micah is the prez of the MC and Camille is his ex. This story is based 30 years after they split and how Micah is trying to clean up Camille's dead husband's mess from hurting anyone else. It's a tug-of-war story between Micah and Camille with her adopted son Eagle another MC prez thrown into it. Secrets are revealed that change lives and betrayals in and out of the club become costly. Micah has lived on the wrong side for so long that he feels now he has to make up for the bad (like trafficking girls) so the club will have a future but not all members are for it.
I gave this a 1-star rating and a 2-spicy rating. I just couldn't understand what was happening in this book since it felt like I was missing an entire chunk. Nothing was explained clearly and I almost DNF a couple of times but I pushed through because I had high hopes for this series. At this point I'm not sure if I will finish the series when the rest come out.

This is fairly complex and starts with 4 friends, Cami and Snake are a couple until the end of high school she goes off to college and one of the others go as well. From there things change and evolve not for the good, in many ways their lives continue to cross. One thing stays constant and that's love, a bond is stretched put to the side but doesn't stop. Rivals, betrayal, violence are all played out over the years, trust has to be earned, past deeds uncovered and understood before forgiveness and new bonds can be developed. Great characters both good and bad, it's sad sometimes to see where good goes bad. This is my first read by this author and I found it suspenseful and interesting, I wonder if the initial sparks and characters actually start in another series and this spins off from that. Certain characters and events mentioned lead me to think that's the case but either way I was able to enjoy and not feel that I was missing anything to spoil it, though I guess it might have given that extra bit of depth of background. It held my focus and was well written, the characters felt human with flaws and vulnerabilities, honesty even when showing themselves in a bad way. Definitely an author to look out for in the future.

I loved reading about Micah and Cami! A must read story and a page turner! Micah is President of Devil’s Inferno ready to retire. His son is Vice President hoping to take over. Can Micah trust his son enough to leave his club to him? All I got to say is he better prove himself if he wants to do so. Wait til you find out what happens! It could possibly break Micah’s heart to pieces.
Cami and Micah dated back in the day, but her parents weren’t happy with that. They had such great chemistry. She married another man, Franklin, whom she went to school with eventually. Micah never fully got over her. Now Cami is single, you will find out why, and Micah is bound and determined to make her his. Will he be able to do that? Once he tells her the truth about Franklin, will she believe him? It still seems like Micah and Cami have the spark that was there back in the day. Will love prevail for them in the end finally? Will Micah be able retire and not worry about his club going to someone who will destroy what it has become? All I got to say is this book will have you wanting to keep reading til the end.

Micah has a very dark past & now that he's gotten older, he's been straightening his MC out before stepping down as President, plus he's got all kinds of regret to boot. His son who is supposed to take over but won't get it together as said son doesn't want the MC to stop what it used to do so Micah is struggling with something that he'll be forced to do if his son keeps going like he is. On top of that, he fell in love with Cami when they were much younger but it didn't work out & she went on to marry someone else who ended up working with Micah. Now that her husband is gone, and Micah has changed up his life, he's determined to pursue Cami again, but let me tell you, why they're totally perfect for each other, there's a lot of complications in the mix as well with all kinds of secrets coming out. This story was a whirlwind of twists coming in hot on top of the second chance with a kicker of intense heat so I was on the edge of my seat turning the pages like a mad person. There wasn't really any down time so over the top exciting was the name of the game, and man I never wanted the story to end so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Life has dealt Micah some hard knocks over his time being in an MC, and one of them was leaving behind the love of his life Cami. When the opportunity arises, and he is able to finally make Cami his again, he does not hesitate in trying to win back her love.
A story with a lot of angst within the MC world. As brothers, the MC stay loyal to each other, but when Micah finds that his own son is betraying the club, decisions need to be made. It is a hard road for Micah and with him trying to leave the MC life behind, retirement does not come easy.
Trying to keep the club going in the direction that he envisions and winning back Cami's love take it's toll. How does Micah and Cami get their HEA. Rival clubs and the bratva all become entangled to cause lasting issues for Micha.
A well written, emotional story that holds you captive until finally Cami and Micah get their HEA they so deserve.

Micah is the MC Prez for the Devil's Inferno MC. He doesn't have it easy, especially when his son thinks he should become Pres when his father leaves. Micah hooks up again with Cami, his first love whom he pushed away to go to college and get the education she deserves. Years later, they meet, and despite everyone trying to pull them apart, they persevere since they deserve some happiness. It was lovely to see a second chance romance for a change with people in their later years rather than when they are younger. There is hope for all of us maybe one day.
