TEHRAN, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) -- Michael Bock, German-appointed president of the Instrument in Support of Trade Exchanges (INSTEX), will visit Tehran next month, Eghtesadonline news website reported on Tuesday.

INSTEX is a mechanism set up by France, Germany and Britain in January, aiming to facilitate trade with Iran and skirt U.S. anti-Iran sanctions.

The visit would hopefully help accelerate the implementation of the INSTEX, head of Iran-Germany Joint Chamber of Commerce Abbasali Qazaee was quoted as saying.

During his visit, starting on Jan. 12, Bock will meet senior Iranian political and economic officials and will attend a meeting with the representatives of Iran-Germany Joint Chamber of Commerce.

However, Qazaee noted that "this does not mean that all problems will be solved."

"If the mechanism is helpful, it would cover pharmaceuticals and medical equipment in the first phase and later maybe food," he said.
