Love at First Site
After months of hard work, we are thrilled to share with you our newly launched Website at www.catcomm.org. In addition to this new virtual home for CatComm, we are now actively partnering with other online platforms to ensure that community solutions are broadly available across the globe.
New Strategy
Our new site isn´t all we´ve been up to. Truth is, our revised site concept came out of a much deeper reflection. After 9 years working to connect communities in Rio and around the world, bringing visibility to grassroots solutions by publishing and translating them on our platform, we looked around and found a whole new world. Technology has now caught up with our vision, and we no longer have to develop our own. As a result, we have partnered with WiserEarth, the largest civil society organizing space online (read WiserEarth´s blog post about our partnership).
This has freed us to focus our energy on what we do best: meeting our mission of recognizing, sharing, strengthening, and projecting community solutions from Brazil and around the world.
New Initiatives
As such, we have a renewed focus on strengthening communities´ ability to connect, organize, and share their solutions. And, as we did with our Casa, we are now getting ready to pilot a new model solution in Rio de Janeiro in 2010 (look out for this announcement next week!).
