(FRANKFORT, KY) – The Kentucky Department of Education's (KDE's) Testing Board of Review will meet virtually on May 19 at 1:30 p.m. ET.
The Testing Board of Review and the commissioner of education work together to ensure the integrity is maintained for all state-required assessments. 703 KAR 5:080 charges the Testing Board of Review with providing a recommendation to the commissioner of education regarding testing allegations reported to KDE.
The commissioner of education appoints the board members to represent various divisions within KDE. To maintain the independence of the board, members do not include persons whose job duties consist of either investigating testing allegations or those who work in the assessment and accountability area of KDE. Each board member receives Administration Code Training.
Pursuant to Executive Order 2020-243 and a memorandum issued by the Finance and Administration Cabinet dated March 16, 2020, and in an effort to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Testing Board of Review will meet via video teleconference.
