I am heading into my 7th year of teaching, having spent 2 years in third grade and 4 years in 2nd Grade. I have fallen in love with 2nd graders: they're cuteness, their growing independence, and their humor!
Silly comes to mind first. I find that being just a teeny bit silly really helps engage my students. My classroom is a structured, colorful, and student centered classroom where students feel safe to ask questions and volunteer answers. We have a lot of fun and we learn a ton!
I've been featured twice in Mailbox Magazine. {Does that count?}
I am certified K-5 general education. I also have my Bachelor's in History {I flirted with the idea of teaching highschool at one point...now I can't imagine it!}
Pay It Forward :)
