Senior: Although small, the St. Mark's community is great as there are a myriad of ways to connect with others. One example is how the Seniors get little buddies (1st through 3rd graders) that they interact with throughout the year, and at the all School Christmas party, bring their little buddy in on their shoulders and let them put an ornament on the Christmas Tree. This is only one of the many ways that St. Mark's brings everyone in the community together. Senior: I have attended Bishop's from 6th to 12th grade. The teachers are generally excellent; they are all qualified and most are truly passionate about helping students understand their fields. I never felt that the courses were 'too rigorous.' The academic and affinity-based extracurriculars I participated in were also excellent. The college counseling is adequate, the students are classist, and the administration is mediocre. Great college prep school overall. Bishop's is a good school for driven kids because time-management is paramount and many programs (e.g. visual arts, sports, and debate) rely primarily on students' own engagement rather than heavy-handed coaching.
