Why does everyone miss the key?  Manafort gave the Russians the campaign polling data.  That data shows the Russians where to strike for effect.  It shows where the campaign is strong and therefore in need of no help,  and where the campaign is weak and in need of all the help it can get.  That allows the Russians to strike the specific areas with disrupting material and actions.  Thus the Trump campaign aided the Russian interference effort in a spectacular way.  It also may have included electorial college votes by state.  But, in any event the aid and abetting was clear.
