Years ago, when we lived in Atlanta, I saw a Christmas display that included ribbon candy. It was love at first sight! I managed to track some of the ribbon candy down but it was very expensive (perhaps it was Hammonds ribbon candy) and so I never persued it further.
However, this year as I was doing my grocery shopping I spotted a box of ribbon candy that was $2.50 per box (about 8 pieces per box). I snatched a few boxes up and have been enjoying how pretty the candy looks sitting on my kitchen countertop. I love anything that is ruffly, pretty and tasty!

Al grew up getting ribbon candy, 'humps' (hump-shaped chocolate covered vanilla creams), and an apple or orange in a goodie sack at church at Christmas time. So he has ribbon candy memories. I've managed to get a pretty fair duplication a couple of years. It's lovely in that jar.
