To the editor:

America has become a picture of confusion, corruption and nonsense. So I’ll try to clarify it.

Here is a common sense quote from General Douglas MacArthur, from 1951, that perfectly describes where America is now, and where America is headed:

“History fails to record a single precedent in which nations subject to moral decay, have not passed into political and economic decline.There has been either a spiritual reawakening to overcome the moral lapse, or a progressive deterioration leading to ultimate national disaster.”

Sadly, America is now far past “moral lapse;” we are morally collapsed. And this means that “ultimate national disaste” is very near.

General MacArthur is a voice of authority, to pay attention to. But God is the highest authority, so pay closest attention to what HE says! HIS Word

tells us why any nation collapses and falls: “…JESUS knew their thoughts,and said, ‘Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand.'” Matthew 12:25, KJV. Plainly we see America is so very divided. The Lord Jesus Christ plainly tells us that a house divided “shall not stand.”

Now we ask: How did America become so confused, corrupt and fallen? God answers that question in Galatians 6:7,8-11 “…whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption …” God’s Word simply shows us Americans that we’re reaping what we’ve sown.We’ve sown a lot of sin in our fleshly sinful nature. We’ve not repented, nor forsaken our sins, as we should have, which is the cause of our confusion, corruption and falling. Also,God tells us in Proverbs 28:13: “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper…” and that explains why America is not prospering.

As you can plainly see, the evidence shows that America is headed for national disaster. God will not help us. God will not bless us, because we are a very sinful people that have rebelled against God. We need to repent of our sins. But, we will not repent, because of our terrible sin of pride. God is now against us. God resists us, as James 4:6 says: “God resisteth the proud.” We are a people that are stubborn, and blinded by our sins of pride, lovers of money, materialism, loving pleasure more than God, greed, etc. Yes, our nation is headed for desolation. But, there still is time for each of us to personally repent to God, and seek Jesus Christ for salvation.
