Have You Seen Salt and Light? Let Us Know!

A copy of our new 2016-17 congregational giving resource, Called to Be the Church: Salt and Light, has been sent to ministry personnel in every congregation. It is also available on the Stewardship Toolkit, along with lots of material not included in the print version (like videos, learning programs, and colouring pages).

Whether you’re using Salt and Light in print or online, you can’t miss the invitation to register your copy today! Just go to the Salt and Light webpage and click on the big orange “Register Now!” button, and we’ll send you 25 thank you cards to use to recognize generosity in your community.

If you need a copy of Salt and Light—or more than one!—contact us and we’ll be happy to send you as many as you need. We’re also here to answer questions and put you in contact with field staff who can help you implement the program. Email us or call 1-800-268-3781, ext. 4029.

Foundation Spring Grants

It is with immense gratitude to all United Church of Canada Foundation donors that we announce the Spring 2016 presentation of 48 grants, scholarships, and academic awards totalling $704,225. These grants and awards represent the dedication, innovation, and spirit-filled work of so many people across our church. Congratulations to all grant and award recipients!

Thank you to all the individuals, congregations and United Church organizations that applied for grants and thank you again to all the donors who made these grants possible. Without you, the grants to these innovative and exciting programs and projects wouldn't happen.

Tell Us Why You Give!

Over the past few years, we have been running a series of “Why I Give” stories in our stewardship resources, as well as in the Observer. We would like to give you a chance to share your story. All you need to do is reflect on this question:

Why do you give to the Mission & Service of the church?

Then simply tell your story in a few sentences and email it to us. If you have questions, call us at 1-800-268-3781, ext. 4029.
