I would like to take this last opportunity to give you some advice about equity. For example, there are two deaf people who are on the same path and maybe they have the same level of intelligence. They're wanting to become a doctor or a lawyer.
Don't let their English abilities determine their intelligence or determine their ability to follow that career path. And I want to encourage all of you to not let that stop you regardless of your English proficiency. Follow your passion. It's the same concept that hearing people have.

Hearing people are on all different types of levels academically, but they will still go and reach their goals. I want to see more deaf doctors, deaf attorneys, whatever those are. I'm excited. The key is effective communication.
