I have the awesome responsibility of serving a fantastically quirky bunch of gifted and talented students in our suburban, public, charter school. We are a Title I elementary school that serves a very diverse group of students.
My students are learning to be "makers".
As gifted and talented students, they have all kinds of wild and crazy ideas. Having a MakerSpace in the GT classroom allows them the opportunity to pursue some of these ideas and bring them to fruition.
My Project
My students love to create, make, and build things in our makerspace classroom. They love to create with cardboard and duct tape. They love to design engineering projects with random recycled materials. They love to code stories and create video games on a variety of platforms. They are always up for a challenge.
Now it's time for us to take our maker abilities to the next level.
My students want to design ideas on Tinkercad and bring those creations to life with a Lulzbot Mini 3D printer. We are ready to make our dreams reality with Tinkercad and the 3D printer. If we can dream it, let's design it and 3D print it!
