One imported COVID-19 case confirmed, infections stand at 329

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam reported one imported COVID-19 case on Saturday morning, raising the tally of infections to 329.

The 329th patient is a 22-year-old man residing in Hà Nội’s Thanh Xuân District who was quarantined upon arrival after returning to Việt Nam from UK on June 4.

He was tested positive to SARS-CoV-2 late Friday and was sent to the COVID-19 specialised hospital in Củ Chi District, HCM City for treatment.

As of Saturday, Việt Nam has gone 51 consecutive days without community transmission. 307 patients were given all clear including five new recoveries reported on Friday. 189 imported cases of COVID-19 were isolated upon arrival. The country has more than 9,000 people currently quarantined at centralised camps, medical facilities or at home. — VNS
