This has been a fairly boring day. I had to look up a bunch of stuff and order parts for a regular customer. That ate up a good part of the morning. Now the afternoon is dragging on. It can't end soon enough.

After some technical problems, we left College Station and made it to San Antonio. At first, we couldn't get the parking brake to disengage. My mom said it had always been finicky and we thought we were going to have to call a mobile rv repairman. My mother called my brother for advice and my SIL found a video that explained the trick needed to get it to disengage. After that, we had to go to O'Reilly for the new cabin batteries. They said they would sell me the batteries, but they couldn't install them in an RV. To figure out which ones I needed, I first had to pull out the old ones. They loaned me tools and as I was starting to work on them, a guy who was sitting in the next car over offered to help. He pulled the old batteries and after I bought the new ones, he installed them. I tried to tip him some money, but he wouldn't take it. There are still decent people in the world. After all that, we get to SA and I pick up the Turo rental car. I'm driving it and my mother is driving the rv to the rv park. We get separated but we each have the address in the maps of our phones. No problems, right? Not so lucky, my phone dies halfway through the navigation and mom is nowhere in sight. I have to try 3 convenience stores before I can find one that has a charger and then wait until my phone charges enough to turn on. After all of that, I find that the refrigerator door opened during the trip and the cold drinks I had in there are no longer cold. Fortunately I find a nearby convenience store and buy drinks and ice for the cooler. I've now had a couple of cold drinks and my nicotine-free vapes, so I'm a lot better.

I got home and my wife said the oven is overheating on the top oven. She tried using the bottom oven and the top coil still heated up. Now I have to pull the oven out and check the coil and the thermistor. Can anything else go wrong or break around here?

I pulled out the range and checked the thermistor and the heating element and both checked good. I checked the wiring to the circuit boards and everything looked fine. Put it back together and it’s working fine now. I guess it was just a glitch. That’s what I get for buying a double oven with WiFi connectivity.

Good morning mixers. I never did get around to mixing the pineapple recipe I wanted to start working on. I was going to start with three flavors and add as needed. I got a little new work in yesterday so should have plenty to do today. The boss is going to be off again for a few days starting later this week so I’m looking forward to that.

    Morning, mixers.

A break in the rain, so temps will be down. 30, heading for 45... and that's the guess for the next few days.

Time to gather up the latest storm debris :(

Or operator error? Sheesh, that much "smarts" in a stove could confuse anyone not a died in the wool geek...
