This is a class that everyone should take. If you are a pitmaster that needs help to win at a competition, a backyard BBQcook that wants to impress friends and family with their newly acquired knowledge, a foodie that wants to know how good BBQ is made, or someone like me a KCBS certified BBQ judge that wants to better understand preparation of the meats to be a better judge.
In this class you will learn everything you wanted to know about BBQ from selecting your meats, trimming the meat (fat, etc) rubs, injections, sauces, times and temperatures of cooking, different woods smokers etc. different regions and styles of BBQ. There is so much more.
You learn to love yourself and others. No matter what part of the world we come from we are all the same. Food is one of the best ways to bring everyone together as one.
Throughout the class, you get to sample different items. Save room for the huge spread served at lunch. The leftovers are evenly boxed up for everyone to take home.
Included in the class is lifetime technical support if you have any questions. You also keep your apron, class book, graduation certificate, leftovers, and a bag of rub for your homework assignment.

Harry Soo is an absolute legend. If you have the opportunity to take any of his classes you will come out a world class bbq chef. This is no joke. I couldn't cook anything but burgers and hot dogs (barely) on my grill. Now I own 2 smokers and a beautiful BBQ and can make about 20+ items with perfection to include ribs, brisket, tri tip, prime rib, turkey, vegetables, etc. I have made so many friends cooking for them and I owe my knowledge to this class and Harry. Cannot thank you and your team for sharing EVERY piece of cooking knowledge. Truly incredible!!

Booked Slap Yo Daddy BBQ for a private class as a company team building activity. I came in with high expectations of what the class was going to offer and found those expectations greatly exceeded...both in the quality of the information and in the amazing food we got to partake in. Harry and his team are fantastic and can't speak about them more highly as individuals and a team. Everyone came away from the event filled with BBQ knowledge and love!

Harry Soo really deserves more mainstream recognition, his ability to teach and entertain are a joy.
I learned of Harry shortly after picking up a Weber Smokey Mountain as I was reading info on how to 'season' it, from there, his YouTube channel is always informative and I have a lot of his rubs in my cabinet which get lots of praise when added to ribs and tri tip.
But today was a whole new reckoning, after attending Harry's hands on BBQ class, his thorough coverage of all steps of the BBQ process for various meats (beef, chicken, pork, lamb, tuna, etc!) really opened my eyes to how I could make drastic improvements to my own techniques.
It makes me feel like I wasted folks time with my previous briskets and pork butts....
If you have the time and coin to spare and a desire to learn, you will not go wrong spending time with Harry and his team!

I took Harry's Master BBQ Class Oct 28 of this year. It was such an amazing class. Harry is honestly is one of the most kindest & welcoming people I have ever meet. He made me feel right at home from the moment I walked it. I honestly believe he should have his own TV show because he is so knowledgeable on BBQ, history of food & how to blend cultures together . He breaks the class down from sauce by explaining the history. He is such a great storyteller he talks about all cultures of food and break it down to science. Now this class isn't for someone who has never turned on a grill before so you should has some idea of what to do. I went in with a list of questions of what I been doing wrong all these years so I can evaluate my game in Brisket. He explain 20 different thing so you need to be prepared to absorb the information. So for me the class was perfect . We are doing so many things and are hands on you are engaged for that 7hr class. He gives you a breakdown of everything he does in a booklet so you don't forget but it really is a wonderful class to take & bring friends for serious BBQers who want to elevate their game. He also donated his services & % to the class to good cause. And he sell's amazing rubs & sauce. I am such a big fan that if he has other classes I will be happy to take them with him. I did have a dietary restriction & he customized my meals to the class which I thought was incredibly nice. You eat what you make and take a box home. So after you been peeling skin, rubbing meat and understanding the smoker you are using you eat all the delicious food. From steak to jalapeños popper wrapped in bacon. You will leave full & satisfied. He team was very kind, polite & helpful as well. I honestly wish nothing but the best for Harry & his team!

Great atmosphere to allow participants to learn one on one. Class size is perfect to allow adequate interaction, ask questions, allowing to see the break down and clarify the processes. Being hands on and interactive with the class allowed us absorb content and feels like you're getting your bang for your buck. Harry was very welcoming and provided top notch hospitality . Bill Dumas was just as welcoming and a open book with the sausage making process. You can feel the passion when Bill teaches or is just talking about his craft. The food was overwhelming with umami and plenty to go around so expect to leave in BBQ food coma. Highly recommend a class for sure
