Survey Marsh Saxifrage

Marsh Saxifrage Saxifraga hirculus is one of the rare wild flowers in Britain.  It has experienced such steep declines in range and numbers through the last century that it is a European–wide Priority Species.
In Scotland there are a handful of locations where it flowers – one of which is our Munsary Peatlands reserve in Caithness.
For two of the other locations we  are looking for fit volunteers to go up into the hills to count the plants to determine how healthy the populations are here - the Pentland Hills near Edinburgh and the Monadhliath Mountains south of Inverness.

If you are interested in making a difference for this lovely little wildflower then email Davie Black to find out more.
