Publisher's summary

Moondance has been awarded the B.R.A.G. Medallion.

Melissa Hewitt enjoys escaping to the Canadian Rockies, where the stresses of the week melt away - but real life is never far away, filled with terrifying dreams of being pursued by a panther, and a handsome but unfriendly boss who exudes both danger and allure. There is something about Leander Garrett, however, that draws Melissa, making him almost impossible to ignore; that, and the fact that once they had been friends.

As winter turns into spring, Leander's chilly demeanor begins to thaw, but danger prowls through the mountains, and Lee has a secret that lurks beneath his elegant clothes and rippling physique. Something that compels him to reject what he desires the most. Can he learn to see the good in himself and finally allow his heart to love and be loved in return?

A captivating paranormal romance, Moondance will keep you enthralled to the very last second.

Good story

I have decided I want a black panther to snuggle. well if it was possible. Great story and amazing, wonderful charactersI and it wraps up very nicely. I love when books close with a glimpse of their lives in the future. - Thank you.
I would of given this book a 5 star rating, but I felt it was a little long in some parts, and could of been trimmed down a bit.

Miss Braggs did a great job narrating this, and I would listen to a book she does again

First time listening to an audiobook

Any additional comments?

This was my first time listening to an audiobook and though I loved the story I personally prefer reading myself. I thought Georgia did all the different characters voices really well but the tempo of the story was quite slow. I am a fan of Linda’s stories and have read this book as an ebook in the past. I enjoyed the story just as much as the first time I read it.

Melissa and Leander

This book is the first book by this author that I have ever read or listened to. I love shifter stories, all shifters, so when I was offered the chance to listen to this book I jumped at it.

This book is like no other shifter book I have ever experienced. It is beautifully written and very well performed, the story being woven is uniquely different because the shifter in question is not called a shifter - Leander is a 'Changer' and he is alone, there is no shall we say Pride because Leander is a cat? He is alone, he has no one to turn to and keeps himself closed off. Despite loving the forest and the mountains he lives in the city in a beautiful penthouse and works for a large company.

Melissa works for the same company as Leander but they are not close, despite the fact that they used to be friends when they both started working there - Leander aka Lea suddenly changed his attitude towards Melissa and suddenly started treating her in a very detached way. Melissa is having a recurring dream, she dreams of a beautiful black pantha. It never harms her and she is not afraid in these dreams, what do they mean?

Mel has always liked Lea and misses their friendship so when he asks her out for a meal she is happy to go but Lea is still distant and keeps her at arms length. Despite wanting to be close to her. Why?

This is a very different story as I have already said and I can't say a lot more because I NEVER GIVE SPOILERS. But what I can say is that the characters and the chemistry together with a wonderfully different storyline had me totally engrossed in this story.

There is passion, love, loyalty, anger and betrayal in this story and in places I cried for Leander he was so alone. I adored the closeness between Mel and Lea and so wanted them to have their own HEA if ever a couple deserved one it was these two. I will definiately listen to this one again and keep my eyes open for more work by Linda K Hopkins.

The narration by Georgia Bragg was excellent, she managed to give each character their own unique personality and contributed very much to my overall enjoyment of this wonderfully different story.

I was given a copy of this book as a gift and am voluntarily writing my review.

ENJOYABLE READ/LISTEN

My first read from author Linda K. Hopkins, was well-written & *SPOILER* (maybe), this is nNOT your typical shifter romance. I got this book back in January of 2018 & am just getting around to reading it. I was given an Audible copy of this book & I’m voluntarily reviewing it. I was very impressed and enjoyed the vocal variety & inflections of the narrator. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

A great paranormal romance book

This is a very nice paranormal romance that centers more around romance than paranormal provided you can overlook the panther. I liked the interaction between Melissa and Leander. Leander is a loner but so desperately want to be with someone. Melissa wants to be the friends they used to be when they first started working at the same firm. This book has a little of everything...friendship...loyalty...anger...can't have anger without passion which makes it more interesting..and of course love. The listen was very easy. The narrator did an excellent job at giving voices to the characters. I would listen to this book again. It Almost Feel Possible

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

It is a very cute love story between a human and a feline shifter. It almost makes you think that something like this could actually happen... I love cats and this wonderful black panther is without any doubt a lovable specimen.
The fantastical aspect of it makes the storyline entertaining. The protagonists' efforts in trying to reconcile a "normal" type of relationship with the unusual aspect of it, is a little farfetched and it would hardly work in a real life situation, but since we are talking fantasy, why not?
Writing is pleasant as is the narration. A good read for the fans of the "only if" genre.

interesting PNR

Melissa and Leander's road to HEA is not easy, full of dangers and adventures. Some scenes made me laugh and some made me cry. This story has an interesting twist on the shifter PNR and that is the mating cycle, quite original. Loved seeing a bit in the future of their lives in the epilogue. Looking forward to read / listen more from this author.

Enjoyed my first listen from Ms. Bragg, her voice is pleasant and full of emotion, changing for each character. Will be looking for more.

Paranormal romance story, heavy on the romance

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This book was just OK for me. This is largely in part to the heavy focus on the romance side of the story. A lot of angst and dancing around their obvious connection/attraction. Paranormal romance stories are fine with me, but they need to focus AT LEAST as much on the paranormal as they do the romance. This is just my personal opinion, so take that with a grain of salt. The narrator did a decent enough job on the voices, though, I thought her voicing of males was a tad...nasally... again, just my opinion. Big picture, it did an ok job of holding my interest and I had minimal eye rolls for the romance stuff. I prefer more action and paranormal stuff in books from this genre. That being said, if you are a fan of novels heavy on the romance and full of sexual tension, you will love this one.
