Gary Cerveny, a noted car collector and enthusiast with a shop in Malibu, California -- highlighted in a Hot Rod article from a few years ago -- reportedly lost his entire 30-plus car collection in the latest California wildfires. That’s according to friends from the Old Crow Speed Shop on Instagram. Of particular interest is the destruction of the one-of-a-kind Norman Timbs Special streamlined custom shown above.

Cerveny’s collection was private, but that didn’t mean you wouldn’t see them around California. He and his wife Diane have been known to drive their cars both on and off the track. They regularly start and drive everything from a ‘60s Indy racer to a belly tanker and have been known to cruise in a street-legal sprint car.

Cerveny had a 1965 Pontiac GTO gasser and a ’66 Dodge Dart, both somehow streetable, as well as ‘50s Indy roadsters, a Nanook Fuel Altered, a ’40 Ford from George Barris and a Studebaker kart hauler.

Check out a huge gallery over at Hot Rod and keep him and his family, along with everyone impacted by the fires, in your thoughts. According to the post, the family is currently out of the state.
