Westminster Announces New Volleyball Head Coach

Karrin Moore Named as the new women's volleyball head coach

SALT LAKE CITY – Karrin Moore has been named Head Coach of the Westminster College Women's Volleyball program, Director of Athletics, Shay Wyatt announced today.
 
"I am pleased to announce Karrin Moore as the women's volleyball head coach at Westminster College," said Wyatt.  "We had an impressive group of applicants and Karrin rose to the top of the field. Coach Moore brings successful head coaching experience in all aspects to our program having led an NCAA II women's volleyball program as well as having served as an assistant coach at both NCAA II & III institutions. Coach Moore shares the vision we have for our athletics program, along with the goals set forth for our women's volleyball program.  I'm pleased to welcome Karrin to Westminster College."
 
The Westminster Women's Volleyball team competes in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC), which is affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA II).
 
"I am thankful to President Dobkin and Shay Wyatt, Director of Athletics, for giving me the opportunity to lead the Griffins' Volleyball program. I am excited to work with the dedicated student-athletes towards building the program in a competitive RMAC conference," said Moore.
 
Moore is a native of Phoenix, Ariz., and comes to Westminster from Pace University, an NCAA II institution in New York, where she served as the Head Coach for the past nine seasons.  Prior to Pace, Moore served three seasons as an assistant coach at Bentley University (Mass.) under American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Hall of Fame Coach Sandy Hoffman, as well as one season as an assistant aoach at Wheaton College (Mass.).
 
During her head coaching tenure at Pace, Moore's teams achieved six winning seasons and qualified for the Northeast 10 tournament six times and the NCAA Regional Tournament twice.  Moore recruited and coached a conference libero of the year, one Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) rookie of the year, one-3rd team All-American, 16 all-conference players, 6 AVCA All-Region selections and her team's GPA consistently exceeded 3.20.  As an assistant coach at Bentley University, Moore helped the Falcons qualify for the conference and NCAA Regional Tournament three times.
 
Moore received her bachelor's degree in 2006 from Northeastern University (Mass.) where she was a student-athlete on the women's volleyball team.
