Episode 4: Fighting Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease

Julia Schulenburg BSN, RN, NMD received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1989. Her specialties included critical care for pediatrics and adults, education, research and epidemiology with infectious disease. During her sixteen years of a nursing career in major hospitals practicing allopathic medicine, she knew there were natural alternatives to health outside of what was conventionally taught in western medicine. This compelled her to study integrative medicine and complete a certification in Manual Lymphatic Therapy and Decongestive Therapy. She currently functions as a Traditional Naturopath, and has been published by AORN, a nationally respected conventional allopathic medical journal. With her medical experience and background, she is able to integrate the knowledge of conventional allopathic medicine and alternative methods to the art of healing. Her compassion for others and desire to help them in spirit, soul and body carried over into how she operates as an integrative practitioner with a whole person point of view. Having an appreciation for the benefits of both conventional and alternative methods for health, she established the Center for Holistic Healing in Dallas, TX.
