GUNS N’ TROUBLE

Guns n’ Roses’ Axl Rose, left, who already has a police record, and his younger brother, Stuart Bailey, were arrested on Jan. 17 for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness by Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies after the cops responded to a 5:30 A.M. complaint at the apartment of Guns lead guitarist Saul “Slash” Hudson. Deputy J. Morales, who didn’t recognize Rose, says the brothers smelled of alcohol and had bloodshot eyes. The report says Rose told the officers, “Do you know who we are? I’m a millionaire. I can have your stupid ass.” Morales says Bailey grabbed his shoulder and Morales hit him with his flashlight, whereupon Rose clenched his fist at Morales and said, “That’s police brutality…. This is good for at least a couple of million.” Rose and Bailey were detained at the drunk tank for six hours, but no charges were filed. The publicist for Guns at Geffen Records said she had no knowledge of the arrest.

Arlett Vereecke mentioned it in an interview with GNR Central. I hadn't heard of it before either, and I looked for it.

If she mentioned it then I suppose it must have happened.

I guess so. I googled based on her description, and this story matched it.

The story Arlett Vereecke told, from the interview here:
https://www.a-4-d.com/t2984-2017-12-10-interview-with-arlett-vereecke-former-gn-r-publicist-on-gn-r-central

Arlett Vereecke wrote:
At one point, Axl's brother [Stuart] worked in my office. [...] So Stuart called me at 5:00 in the morning. And Stuart is very relaxed, to put it mildly. He's very bright, but relaxed. 5:00 in the morning is not what he would call me, unless there was a good reason. He said, "Hey, good morning." I said, "Uh, okay, what's up?" He said, "Well, um, Axl wants to talk to you." I said, "Really? At 5:00 in the morning?" He said yes. Well, I know Axl didn't sleep much, but okay. I said, "Where is he?" He said, "In the cell next to me." (laughs). I said, "What the hell are you guys up to?" He said, "Well, we were walking on the street, and we got arrested for being drunk in public. So they locked us up." [...] That was in Santa Monica, they came from the Troubadour, I believe, and West Hollywood locked him up. And I said "Oh, what do you want me to do?" He said, "Can you come and get us?" I said, "Yes, let me see if we can get you a limo, so we might as well get some attention. So we bailed them out with a limo. And all the press was there, of course - we notified the press.
