Family Partnership Council (FPC) will meet virtually March 10

(FRANKFORT, KY) – The Family Partnership Council (FPC) will meet virtually March 10 at 1 p.m. ET.

The council serves in an advisory role to the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) and provides input regarding topics of interest to families, such as ways that families and communities can assist schools in ensuring that the achievement level of all students is increased.

The council looks to The Kentucky Family and School Partnership Guide resource (formerly The Missing Piece of the Proficiency Puzzle) created by the Kentucky Collaborative for Families and Schools. This resource “helps school and district groups work together more effectively so our state can rise to proficiency in the practice of family and community engagement." The council also aligns itself to the KDE's mission to partner with districts, schools, families, students, business and industry, and communities to provide leadership and support to ensure success for each and every student.

The meeting will be held via video teleconference, but members of the public may watch the meeting in the state board room at KDE, 300 Sower Blvd., Frankfort, KY 40601. A livestream of the meeting will be available on the KDE Media Portal.

Visitors will be required to wear a face covering or they will not be permitted in the building. If a visitor does not have a face covering upon arrival, a face covering will be provided.
