Cathy Ruth

I taught high school Spanish in the public school system for eight years, during which time I served on various committees and curriculum development teams. I began homeschooling my three children in 2012, now ranging from 4th - 10th grade, all of whom have vastly different learning styles. My 10th grader transitioned well to public school last year and is thriving. In addition to teaching my children at home, I've been teaching Elementary and Middle School Science for the past 4 years through our homeschool cooperative.

I love creating new materials and finding new approaches to learning. I have a passion for teaching reading and helping students overcome learning challenges. If I have developed an enthusiasm and lifelong love of learning in my students, I have succeeded.

I'd have to say the greatest moments are found in the long endurance of seeing a concept go from the beginning to mastery for a child.
